The #1 New York Times bestselling author of the Sea Haven novels returns to the circle of the six sisters of the heart, bound by the elements—and to one who possesses the power to inflame the most dangerous passions of all.
Flame-haired Lissa Piner is a skilled glass blower whose delicate gift conceals a burning inner strength that can destroy as exquisitely as it can create. Commissioned to design chandeliers for a string of luxury hotels, her remarkable skills have taken her to Italy. But Lissa’s real mission there is a secret. For her entire life has been a lie, leading to a chance to avenge a terrible wrong.
Enlisted as her bodyguard is Casmir Prakenskii, a trained assassin living off the grid. In Lissa, he sees a kindred spirit—something unexpected and wicked, mysterious and sensual. But more than desire is about to bring them together: because both of their pasts cry out for revenge. And for two people with this many secrets, this much passion, and this many enemies, someone is bound to get burned.

For years, brilliant glass artist Lissa Piner has led a deadly double life, quietly living with her "sisters" and their protective spouses, the Prakenskii brothers, on their Sea Haven farm while secretly and methodically avenging her birth family's brutal deaths. Now in Europe on business, Lissa has a chance to wrap up her personal vendetta and address the evil stalking her sisters and their husbands. If only she can keep Tomasso, the annoying and far-too-seductive bodyguard, from getting in her way. Casimir Prakenskii, assassin and master of disguise, has been sent by his brothers to keep her safe, and he's not letting her out of his sight. Treachery, merciless violence, and fire-driven passion ramp up the tension in this nonstop adventure that adds another welcome puzzle piece to Feehan's compelling series. VERDICT Swift, intricate, and over-the-top steamy, this vengeance-filled, page-singeing romantic thriller keeps fans on an adrenaline high as lethal, perfectly suited principals ensure that an assortment of depraved villains get their just desserts. Feehan (Dark Promises) lives in Northern California.
Kirkus Reviews
Renowned glass artist Lissa Piner is living a double life so secret she can't even tell her sisters-of-the-heart, but when she meets Casimir Prakenskii, who can relate to her deepest, darkest aspects, perhaps together they can right two lifetimes of wrongs. Lissa's circle of friends, all survivors whose relatives were murdered, have become like family to her, and she wishes she never had to leave the shelter of their friendship. But she does. Because the members of her own family who were murdered were her parents, part of an influential Italian mob family, and she's been secretly avenging their deaths ever since. Reportedly killed with them, she was actually raised by her uncle, who took over the family business and trained her to be a predatory assassin. He sent her to the U.S., where she established a cover as a celebrated artist whose glass-blown chandeliers are prized by collectors. Now she's heading back to Europe to meet with luxury hotel owners about work, and she also intends to take her final retribution. Suddenly, though, the past doesn't make complete sense, and discovering some horrific secrets about her uncle compels her to take a harder look at his version of the facts. Her mission is further complicated by the appearance of Casimir Prakenskii, a dangerous Russian assassin who has his own vengeance to mete out but has promised his brothers—most of whom are in relationships with her closest friends—that he'll keep an eye on her. All the Prakenskiis think there's more to Lissa than meets the eye, but none of them know just how deadly the enigmatic beauty is. Initially averse to Casimir's scrutiny, she soon finds him a valuable ally in her plans and realizes he may be her best hope for love, survival, and redemption. Feehan continues her Sisters of the Heart series with another searing romance that explores the emotional toll of violence and the healing power of love, but its highly erotic sex scenes and violent themes may be too intense for some readers.

I loved her other books in this series. This one Fiery Lisa barely mentions her talent , let alone uses it. Way too much explicit sex and discriptive sexual abuse. WHERE'S THE ROMANCE? Sure hope the next book tones down the graphic sex and abuse.. Blythe and Viktor certainly deserve better

Surprised Lisa didn't use her element, just Casmir did minimally. Surprised by that. The other stories had stronger plots that carried through better than this. Ending was disappointing, felt unfinished.

Unless you are looking for porn with a week story line I wouldn't wasye your time or money

I bought this assuming that it would be of the caliber of her element/ Sea Haven books. Not so, I ended up skipping large portions due to the gratuitous sex scenes. Seems to be setting up the next book for even worse behavior and more violence. Seems to be the trend for all her books. Very disappointing. I will be more careful to read reviews before I buy in future.

The storyline was pretty good but it felt like an erotica book instead of a real novel like her others in the series.

Fire Bound was a big disappointment . Made me wonder if Christine Feehan actually wrote it. I have every book from each of her series. This did not have her usual "edge of seat" action. Everyone wants some bedroom scenes, but not over 75% of the book. Didn't have the action or thrilling plot like even the first books of this series. Want her old style back. If this is the Editors at work, tell them to buzz off.

Book was OK, but not much of a story line. Didn't seem worth the wait, hopefully the next one will be better.

As with all of her books lately. It feels like a repeat. I wish she would go back to her old style of writing where you really got to know and fall in love with her characters. I gave up on the breed series for the same reason. Didn't buy the last two Capathian novels wanted to check them out from the library. Now the sea haven series. So sad.

Very disappointed. Where are the strong female characters who can take care of themselves? Way too much violent and graphic sex - no love scenes - just sex, sex, and bondage sex. I skipped so many pages! Where's the romance? Ms. Feehan seems to have borrowed a page too many from '50 Shades of Trash'. She would do much better by returning to her writing style of about 6 years or so ago when her female characters had some backbone. I'd leave my name, but I am too embarrassed to have spent the money on this 'book'. I will not be purchasing Blythe and Viktor's story as I disliked him during his brief appearance in this story.

The book was ok...not a lot of that cheesy internal dialogue in previous books. I wish she would tone down the sex scenes and add more storyline. She used to be an author I would buy automatically, now I refuse to pay for these slutty mediocre novels. I want the old Feehan back!!!!

Not my favorite in the series but still a great story line. Disappointed that Feehan didn't bring us back to the farm but I'm sure I will find out what the future holds in the next book.

The long anticipated book (at least for me) in the Sea Haven/Sisters of the Heart series was a delicious foray into fire filled passion. Once these two gave in to their passion for each other they just didn't quit. I can't tell you how many times they made love, but thankfully the plot line and conflicts were never lost amongst all of the steamy scenes. These two were made for each other and were the perfect match. I like how he didn't try to control her or tell her she couldn't seek out her revenge against those who killed her family. I loved how she strived to show him love and acceptance of who and what he was. I enjoyed the story. I won't spill the beans on the final plot elements, but I am glad the brothers are safe and hopefully free. I so am looking forward to the last book and I have already tried to hunt down details about it, but nothing has been posted yet which means a long wait. Boohoo. Anyway, it was a great read, even with all of the steamy sex that seemed to happen in every chapter (though that is probably an exaggeration). Unlike Feehan's Cat's Lair where it got to the point where I had to skip pages to get past the sex scenes to get back to the story, this one didn't get to the point where I was like "enough is enough, get back to the story".

Can't wait for the next one. Thanks for the read.

Sex, sex, and more sex. I should have known better. My bad, that's all Ms. Feehan writes about anymore. I'm done giving her my money so she can continue to throw out more trash. The four and five star reviews are probably friends and family or someone that never read her books several years ago. What a shame she changed her style.

This is a 5 stars read for me. Loved Casimir and Lissa together. Full of surprises I wasn't expecting and wonderful getting to finally meet Viktor the last Prakinskii brother. Bound Together is going to be a great read and tying up a lot of loose ends from the Drake Sisters series as well. The sex scenes are hot and numerous but done where you felt the love and healing on both side. Loved it..
