Raised by the Lenni Lenape tribe, Joanna Neville returns to them after spending six years in England under the strict hand of her uncle. A Brave Chosen To Lead. . .

Fireheart is no longer the lovestruck youth he once was when he knew Autumn Wind. Upon the village sachem's death, he will be the new leader. Yet beneath Fireheart's grim weight of responsibility lies a need that can be filled by only one woman--a woman whose prim and proper facade masks a spirit as wild as the wind. . .and a desire waiting to be unleashed.

    A winner!

Joanna Neville was raised by the Lenni Lenape tribe in America. As she neared puberty, her uncle in England sent for her. There she spent six abusive years as the uncle taught her how to be a lady. After his death, she believed her life belonged in England. She even seriously considered marrying her friend, John Burton. However, when she received word that the chief, the man she thought of as her grandfather, was dying, she knew she had to temporarily return to the Lenape.

Fireheart had known Joanna as Autumn Wind. He had loved her when they were children, even though she never noticed him. She returned under sad circumstances. Knowing she did not intend to stay, he kept his feelings to himself and prepared to marry someone else. He was to be the future chief of the tribe and needed a proper wife. But the desire between Autumn Wind and Fireheart could not be denied. Then John Burton arrived to find Joanna and return her to England as his wife. John¿s need of her fortune drove him to madness and murder.

*** An excellent romance that will keep the readers¿ attention throughout the story! I love how the author lets us see how life was in the tribe and how they accomplished daily things such as tanning hides. Highly recommended reading! ***

May I join your clan? I am a queen. My kits are Morningkit, Ashkit and Lionkit. Morningkit is a tortoiseshell she-kit. Ashkit is a pale gray she-kit. Lionkit is a handsome dark ginger/golden tom. I am a single dark ginger she-cat. I would be glad to join your clan. Please answer.
