Overview

Bound by a dark enchantment, only an elemental flame can light the way.
Vengeance
Forged in rage and sorrow, a dark witch's spell travels down her ancestral line to Violet Levina. Enchanted with the power of the entire Electromagnetic spectrum--microwaves, gamma rays, radio waves, Violet is cursed with limitless energy and the obligation to destroy an insidious creature composed of dark matter.
Justice
For over five hundred years, Flint has served as Fire, aiding Earth's environment and its people as one of four Elementals. Yet only once in his long existence has he been burned. A flaming redhead ignites the embers of his heart, but he finds her resistant to the heat building between them.
Illumination
Knowing she must fulfill her destiny, Violet travels to her home in Ireland, accompanied by the fiery Elemental. Not fooled by his charms and brazen demeanor, Violet wishes only to shield him from the coming battle, but can't deny the flames of desire flickering when she is at his side.
Love
While standing together against unrelenting adversaries, false friends, family betrayals, and an underlying seed of darkness, they must burn bright, or the ruthless power behind the ancient spell will turn everything to ash.

With Flint as her beacon in a field of darkness, Violet will discover that love holds the most powerful magic of all.

Violet is the twenty-fifth daughter in the line of witches, prophesized to eventually stop the darkest of all villains—Quint, the personification of Dark Matter. After her mother got addicted to the high feeling magic brought and then the high from substances of any kind, Violet swore off magic and dove into science. But determination alone can’t stop her ancestor’s spell and the destiny she’s meant for. Fortunately Violet has more than determination—she has Flint, the Fire Elemental on her side.  And he isn’t about to let a little thing like destiny take away what’s his, even if it means staring Death straight in the face.  Fire’s Field is a paranormal romance by Jillian Jacobs set in a unique paranormal world where Elementals protect the world and their  elements for Mother Nature. Unlike many books with elemental magic, Ms. Jacobs’s universe only has one “peri-mortal” figure responsible for each element. These elementals are kind of like the North Wind—the personification of the element—except the  position is one that changes over time when one elemental falls or decides to retire.  This story features Flint, a guy made of pure fire who recharges his mojo (life force) in active volcanoes. But he wasn’t always supernatural. Once he was a blacksmith’s son. Unlike him, Violet has always been supernatural. Her power is over the spectrum, with the ability to harness radiation and microwaves…all harmful stuff to humans. And definitely harmful to evil baddie Quint and all of the “seeds” he’s planted in minions across the globe. They all want Violet because Quint needs a vessel and no one else is powerful enough to host him. Add in a crazy German dude who wants to build the perfect super soldier, Flint’s Elemental brothers and sister,  and you’ve got an action-packed book featuring love among ancient stones and a trip across Britain.  If you’re just starting off with this series, you might want to check out the first book, Water’s Threshold or you’ll be missing some key  action and character introductions. But if you start with this one, you won’t be so lost that you won’t be able to figure it out.  So…if you like your males Alpha and almost immortal? Check this one out!
