I particularly liked the section where he talked about the Matthew 18 Formula. It is so important that we confront issues and get them resolved. Otherwise, the evil one steps in to try and do even more damage. I have found this book most helpful in dealing with others; not only in church situations but in the general workplace as well. The section on Conflict Management is great -- sharing the options of six different steps. This book helps you to deal with conflicts but also makes you look at yourself. I would highly recommend this book for pastors, church leaders....all Christian ministry workers. Personally, I know of many churches who struggle with the pastor and church board relations; and it would be great if they could all use this book as a study guide to help resolve issues. Was this review helpful? Ron's book Firstorm will be around for a long time. There is much spiritual insight to gather from reading & studying this book. It can be used in small group studies, Sunday School classes and even in seminaries. It is very practical. My wife and I read it together for our devotions. The churches in America will benefit greatly from the author's years of experience in dealing with church conflicts. Chapter 7 alone is worth the price of the book. It helps a pastor to evaluate himself. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.

The book Firestorm has essential information to equip the Christian in the midst of a firestorm as well as pertinent data for identifying an approaching firestorm. So much of the material laid out can be applied to other areas of conflict in our lives. Having been very active in my church for so many years I found it devastating to walk through a firestorm and have spoken with others from different churches who have experienced the same things. Wish we'd had this book several years ago. Firestorm is an instrument of help and hope for the Christian worker! Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. As a pastor's wife for many years and a Sunday School teacher, I find this book extremely helpful in dealing with church conflict issues. I only wish that I would have had a book like this 20 years ago. This can also serve as a tool in the hands of church boards as they experience their own firestorms. Life and ministry is filled with ups and downs. He shares the Biblical role of a peacekeeper and a peacemaker. There is healing in this book as it gives answers to Christian burn-out and stress related issues to ministry. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. The book Firestorm superbly communicates how the enemy infiltrates; how to recognize the warning signs and avoid a major crisis as well as survive a firestorm. Having served as a deacon for many years and experiencing firestorms of our own, this book is so timely and is an encouraging, blessed tool in the hands of hurting people. An excellent read; a must for God's servants from all walks of life. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.

The reader has no idea if the Southern Pennsylvania church which the author claims to have rescued is stronger than before he intervened of if he simply intervened. Where are the measurable statistics that compare before he intervened and post-intervention?Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
