About the Author

Steven R. Sierakowski, DMD, MDSc is a private practice periodontist from the University of Pennsylvania (Class of 2001).

Derek M. Steinbacher, MD, DMD graduated from The University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 2001. He completed his residency at Massachusetts General Hospital (Boston, MA), specializing in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He subsequently completed a fellowship in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital and in Craniofacial Surgery at Children's Hospital of Pennsylvania. Dr. Steinbacher is currently practicing in the Division of Plastic Surgery at Yale University (New Haven, CT)
