    Good, but not the BEST

I'm a third year medical student and Surgery was my first rotation so I needed a little more information than what First Aid gave me. Step-Up to Surgery was a much better purchase (esp when combined with Surgical Recall. First Aid for Surgery was actually the book that the school provided for us so I did utilize it to get a big picture profile of each specialty but you'll need more information for the Shelf than what First Aid gives you. Good book if you've already been through Internal though.
