It was the first day of the rest of her life…

Susannah Chapman is finally free—after spending eight years in prison for a murder she didn't commit. But circumstances have the most unlikely person attempting to right the past wrong—Jared Walker, the assistant district attorney who helped put Susannah away.

Now exonerated, Susannah is scared. With little money, fewer friends—and the grief of giving up her baby while in prison—she needs support. Understandably, Jared is the last person she wants helping her, despite coming clean about his role in her conviction. Jared and his young son, Eric, penetrate her defenses, and Susannah sees him in a new light. Trouble is, how can Susannah ever know if Jared's feelings are real?

I normally don't just like putting "Good" on a review, but that was FANTASTIC! I really liked this chapter , and I'm glad you really built on that situation. Carry on, Please!! ^_^

As I walked to school, I thought about how may day was going to be great. I was deep in my thoughts that I bumped into the kid in front of me who was walking to school also.
"Sorry." I said. When the kid turned around, he turned out to be Will! "Will? You're my neighbour?" I asked astonished.
"It appears so ma'am." He says in a western accent. I couldn't help but laugh. I was so lucky right then because Derek came out of the house and walked toward us.
"You didn't think you could leave without me that easily did ya Nelly?" Derek asked, ruffoing my hair. He looked at me then Will. "This must be Will. Nice to meet you. I'm Derek, Nelly's older brother."
"Nice to meet you Derek. We were just going to walk to school. Wanna come with us until you have to go your seperate way to highschool?"
"It would be my pleasure." Derek said grinning. The three of us walked together until Derek had to take the opposite turn. "See you after school Nelly-Mo." He said after he kissed the top of my head and jogged to school. I waved and continued to walk with Will. We talked about random things until we got to the black top where the rest of the group was waiting.
"I see you guys have figured out you were neighbours." Kelsey said. We nodded and talked until the homeroom bell rung.
*At Lunch*
"...then I said, that's not PUNNY!" Will ended his joke and we all laughed. I got up to throw my trash away and as I walked back to the table, a kid named Buck tripped and his whole table started laughing. Will got up and pushed Buck off his seat.
"What's your problem man?! You don't trip new kids! Especially girls!" Will yelled at him. He helped me and Buck got up too. Buck pushed Will back.
"I didn't know you's be so protective over your girlfriend!" Buck teased. It was my turn to push him and I pushed him harder than Will did. He got up again and tried to push me but I took hid arm and flipped onto his back on the floor. Everbody stared at me. And I started to back away, but Buck caught my leg and yanked so I fell. He got got up again and this time, Will punched him in the face. Buck stumbled backwards but punched Will back. I got up. "That's it!" I yelled and I punched Buck as hard as I could. I must've had a lot of strength in me because Buck crumpled to the floor and didn't get up. The two bodyguards pushed their way through the crowd that had formed around us and grabbed me and Will by the arms and led us to the principal's office.
