Overview

Ryan will never forget that fateful night when he kissed his high school crush, Emma, and lost his heart to her forever. Six years later Ryan finds Emma again, but she’s a different woman than the bossy and joyful girl he used to know. She is now a professional Dominatrix and makes her living by dominating a very select clientele of submissives at the Kiss of Blue dungeon.

When Emma graduated from college with her teaching degree three years ago she had no idea how hard it would be to find work as a teacher at a decent school. To make matters worse, her elderly parents both lost their jobs and their pensions in one fell swoop. Out of options, Emma had no choice but to turn her passion into her profession and go pro-Domme. She enjoys her work and her clients, but cannot allow herself to fall in love. Monogamous by, nature she knows that if her heart belongs to a man she’ll no longer be able to work at the dungeon and without a good paying job her parents will soon be homeless. When Ryan appears in her life she finds herself tempted by the one thing she cannot have- the man of her dreams.

Ryan will do anything to make Emma see that he belongs in her life, including being everything that she ever wanted in a submissive. But when he begins their relationship with a lie he may never win another night with his reluctant Dominatrix.

Warning: Contains sensual BDSM, a hot as hell Alpha male submissive determined to get his way, and a stubborn Dominatrix who may have finally met her match.

Meet the Author

With over thirty published books, Ann is Queen of the Castle to her wonderful husband and three sons in the mountains of West Virginia. In her past lives she's been an Import Broker, a Communications Specialist, a US Navy Civilian Contractor, a Bartender/Waitress, and an actor at the Michigan Renaissance Festival. She also spent a summer touring with the Grateful Dead-though she will deny to her children that it ever happened.

From a young age she's been fascinated by myths and fairytales, and the romance that often was the center of the story. As Ann grew older and her hormones kicked in, she discovered trashy romance novels. Great at first, but she soon grew tired of the endless stories with a big wonderful emotional buildup to really short and crappy sex. Never a big fan of purple prose, throbbing spears of fleshy pleasure and wet honey pots make her giggle, she sought out books that gave the sex scenes in the story just as much detail and plot as everything else-without using cringe worthy euphemisms. This led her to the wonderful world of Erotic Romance, and she's never looked back.

Now Ann spends her days trying to tune out cartoons playing in the background to get into her 'sexy space' and has accepted that her Muse has a severe case of ADD.

Normally I would not pick up a domme book because I like my men

Normally I would not pick up a domme book because I like my men in charge ;), but Ann writes crack so I knew I had to read it.  There is no other way to describe her work.  It is beyond addictive.   She managed to create a domme story where the man is all alpha and manly without detracting from the D/S dynamic.  I love the whole "finally ever after" concept, so mixing that with the heat only Ann can bring really made this book a winner for me.  The characters were strong, likable, and multidimensional. This is the first book in Ann Mayburn's new domme novella series and she can not get the second one out quickly enough for me.  While this book does not end in an evil cliffhanger that makes you want to find Ann and shake until she confesses all that is to come, it does complete a story arc while leaving a door wide open.

This was such a good book about a Ryan and Emma and them reuniti

This was such a good book about a Ryan and Emma and them reuniting after years apart. Emma doesn't recognize Ryan right away, but when she does she realizes that she did like him back in high school. Ryan has never been able to forget Emma from high school. Ryan seeks Emma out and wants her to give more of herself to him and she is wrestling with how to do that and be a Domme. I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series to see what happens with these two.
