The top rules of the First Love Cookie Club: No men. No kids. No store-bought. No gossip!

And no one is going to keep rule #4 now that local-gal-made-good Sarah Collier has reluctantly returned to Twilight, Texas. The once-awkward teenager has become a big-time success with her bestselling kids’ books. Now she’s come back home to grant one child a very special wish, even though her own heart was once broken by the little girl’s father, Travis Walker.

This all makes Sarah wonder, even though you can go home again—should you? Every time she turns the corner, the memory of who she was hits her square in the face, and it isn’t pretty. But there’s magic in Twilight, Texas—the magic of friendship and the magic of love, if only Sarah would open her heart to it. . . .

    Lovely story

The entire story is wonderful. The whole concept about the cookie club and how the whole town got into Christmas was awesome. Everyone has done something super embarrassing in their life that everyone remembers but the author makes it right. I loved that. But the unnecessarily graphic sex scene ruined it. Fortunately, it was only one scene and I told my daughter to skip the cabin scene.

    Excellent Read

I discovered this author after searching books on my Nook. I really liked the other two books that I read in the series. This book so far is my favorite. I love all the characters that make up the story. Several sub plots going on also. Too bad more communities and towns in this country aren't like Twilight, Tx.
We need to show more compassion & help our neighbors in need. More events & festivals might bring people closer. What better time to read this book & experience Christmas in July!

    delightful warm contemporary romance

Sarah Collier grew up loving Christmas as she and her beloved grandmother placed kismet cookies under her pillow. Though very young she knew who she one day would marry and on Christmas Eve every year with the cookies under her head dream of her beloved Travis Walker. However when she was fifteen, her fantasy crashed when Travis married someone else. She no longer dreams of kismet.

Almost a decade has passed since her fairy tale died. Sarah has become the successful children's book author Sadie Cool. Ailing Jasmine asks to meet her favorite author so the First Love Cookie Club tries to arrange for Sadie to come to Twilight, Texas. Although she would prefer to refuse, as this is the hometown she fled, Sarah agrees to come see Jazzy, Travis' daughter. Like Sarah, Travis thinks fairy tales are a sham, but neither of them understands the power of the First Love Cookie Club members enhanced by a little girl's Christmas wish.

The return to Twilight, Texas (see The Sweethearts Knitting Club and The True Love Quilting Club) for the holidays is a delightful warm contemporary romance. The cast makes the tale fun to read as the lead couple is obviously in love with each other but though it is déjà vu all over again as they plan to go on with their separate lives. However, the second time has one enormous difference: First Love Cookie Club. Although the story line is thin, fans will enjoy stopping in Twilight for cookies made with TLC.

    Emotional Rollercoaster!

With more than forty-five books under her belt, Wilde's work truly speaks for itself. Her ability to string together such an engrossing tale of lost love, searing heartbreak and seeking your destiny makes her a standout in the field.

Bestselling children's author, Sarah Collier-better known as Sadie McCool to her fans-is no longer the awkward, prepubescent girl that made a complete fool of herself years before in the tiny southern town of Twilight, Texas. Though the ensuing embarrassment, which followed her very public exclamation of undying love and proclamation of shared destiny as she attempted to prevent the wedding of her teenage crush continues to haunt her daily life. Sarah is honest enough with herself to understand that she is emotionally fragile and to some extent closed off.

Fighting through what feels like permanent writers block, Sarah is desperate to follow her debut with an even greater story though not as frantic as her publicist and agent. When her agent turns over a fan letter from a sick child requesting Sadie's presence for the Christmas festivities in her town, Sarah is compelled to change her plans hoping that a little holiday cheer will be exactly what she needs. That is until she realizes that the town requesting her visit is Twilight, Texas.

The heartache and emotional rollercoaster is palpable as Sarah is reintroduced to her long-lost love and realizing that he is the single father of the young, sick child is almost more than Sarah can take.

"The First Love Cookie Club" is a beautiful spiral of passions as Wilde's characters simply weave their way into your heart.
