About the Author

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Shirley MacKay was born and raised in Lima, Ohio and has lived all over the world due to her and her husband’s military career. After earning her Bachelors of Computer Science from University of Arizona and her Masters in Software Engineering from Harvard University, she has settled down with her family in Herndon, VA. working as a consultant in software development.

She shares knowledge to all new parents and foster parents on her lessons learned. She traveled often for her career, which resulted in limited time and additional challenges. This required efficiency and non-traditional thinking. She spent countless hours on research when her little ones were born. She hopes to bring the most important information to the forefront in a simplistic approach for all parents.
