    Decent advice

I found this book to be extremely helpful with various tips and useful advice for all the varied topics and questions that can come up with first time parents like me. There were, however, a few statements in the book that I found to be inpractical or non researched based like wiping down a shopping cart before you place your child in it. While most of us parents would love the opportunity to wipe down every surface our baby or toddler comes into contact with, its not very practical and can cause more stress trying to control things which cannot be controlled. I also found the statement that certain dog breeds were less family friendly to your child (I think they mentioned rottweilers, german shepards, and pitt bulls) to be a little offensive and not researched based at all. Any good parent does their own research on their own before purchasing or adopting a pet anyway. Overall a good book but some pieces of advice are unneccessary and non important and most could take it or leave it. Worth the purchase, however, for those pieces of advice that are researched and useful to first time parents.
