When you get the diagnosis, run (don't walk) to get this book!

When I was diagnosed with breast cancer, I remembered the title of this book from some hidden memory I had catalogued. How glad I am that I had filed that tidbit away for future reference! This book is an easy read and, though, her treatment and hospitalization seem dated... it gives one a sense (she's now a 20+ year breast cancer survivor with a recurrence in her other breast) that this too will pass. And all's right with the world. It's funny, sad, inspirational, and all the things you need when you are just facing your own diagnosis. Give this as a gift or read it yourself... it's a classic for a reason!
