Overview

Cut & Run Series Book Three: Sequel to Sticks & Stones Special Agents Ty Grady and Zane Garrett are back on the job, settled into a personal and professional relationship built on fierce protectiveness and blistering passion. Now they're assigned to impersonate two members of an international smuggling ring--an out-and-proud married couple--on a Christmas cruise in the Caribbean. As their boss says, surely they'd rather kiss each other than be shot at, and he has no idea how right he is. Portraying the wealthy criminals requires a particular change in attitude from Ty and Zane while dealing with the frustrating waiting game that is their assignment. As it begins to affect how they treat each other in private, they realize there's more to being partners than watching each other's backs, and when the case takes an unexpected turn and threatens Ty's life, he and Zane will have to navigate seas of white lies and stormy secrets, including some of their own.

This is the 3rd book in the Cut & Run series.  The continuing story of the FBI partners, Ty Grady and Zane Garrett.  How they learn to love one another, work together, and not kill each other.   The other agents are in shock at this point.  Both Zane and Ty would normally have requested a transfer, no partner or complaint on file.  Their partnership is working so well, despite the fact that they tease, taunt, and bicker with one another.  What no one else knows - they have a physical relationship under it all that is slowly strengthening the outside facade.   Ty & Zane are going undercover in this story.  As a married, openly gay couple.  They are to go on a cruise and pose as thieves who are married and running a lucrative operation.  After the real couple is in FBI custody, they take their place on the ship and meet with their contacts in order to gain the information many law enforcement agencies are nearly killing to get.   While acting as an openly gay couple, they both learn that being in public together is a dream.  Even in the confined environment of the ship, the public and forbidden yet expected married environment is making both men rethink their current relationship.   Such an amazing story and it is stunning to see how they handle the emotional as well as physical demands in this story.  Ty has someone trying to kill his character, and there is another law enforcement agency aboard ship.  So much going on and yet so good!  Again - I could NOT put this down!

With "Fish & Chips," authors Urban and Roux have really settled into the series, and have produced a sequel that's excellent from start to finish. Like me, you may have had some trouble with the MCs non-acceptance of the fact that, deep down, they're both really gay and in love with each other. But when the story is as fast, light, and exciting as this one, there's no complaining about the way the co-authors have chosen to handle their characters. And the sex is, as always, blisteringly on-the-mark for these two men. The scene where Ty decides to carry his impersonation of Del Porter, boy-toy to his husband, Corbin Porter (impersonated by Zane,) into their private life, is perhaps the single best sex scene I've read in recent memory. These books, so far, haven't aspired to being "great lit-ruh-chur." Instead, the authors have targeted the summer page-turner as their goal, and have hit the bulls-eye smack in the center. That two near-invisibility-age (Zane is nearly 40, and Ty is around 35) GFY characters can carry a continuously-evolving series of adventures is a testament to how well-written the authors (Mrs. Urban wrote Zane in the first four novels; and Mrs. Roux has done Ty throughout) have made these two contradictions to everything the LGBT community considers p.c. This is the first novel of the series that I can recommend completely whole-heartedly. I have made my complaints with the entirety of the first novel, and the first third of the second perfectly plain; so this endorsement is full-throated. ( This is one series that can be enjoyed by the entire universe of m/m romance/thriller readers. Really.

Ty and Zane do it again. They are FBI agents having a secret gay relationship in their private time who get sent on an undercover mission to portray a married gay couple on a cruise ship. So they are gay pretending to be straight pretending to be gay. The relationship confusion is bad enough but then add in various murder attempts as they try to investigate an international smuggling conspiracy and the whole story climbs aboard the crazy train. It's wild ride which I loved.

In the third book of the series, Ty and Zane are undercover as an outted gay couple on a cruise ship. What their Director doesn't know is that their roles aren't that far from the truth. And Ty is finding himself relishing his ability, even obligation, to be draped over Zane;s luscious body. Things are going great until someone tries to kill him...
