This book goes over the customer service policies of Pike Place in Seattle, WA. However, they threaded the policies throughout a Beaver Cleaver-type storyline, and it is a bit hard to swallow. If you can get through that, the book is very valuable in how to turn around a customer service-based business. I worked in a call center at a business that is like Amway, up in Idaho Falls, ID. The management had meetings about this story, bought the books for management, and encouraged us all to read the book and implement the "fun" the book encourages. The fun we tried to have was nixed by management. It was and still is like working in the mines. Dark and it kills your soul.
