While you would probably find this book in the diet section, I am loathe to call this a ¿diet book¿. While Fit or Fat? does discuss how to lose weight, it does not recommend any kind of diet. Fit or Fat? helps you understand the relationship between food, exercise and health. Covert Bailey covers the body¿s metabolism in a clear and easy to comprehend manner. Written in the 70¿s, this book is surprisingly current. As it is based upon nutritional research and not fad diets, Fit or Fat? is as relevent today as it was when it was written. Some new information has come out since this book was published, making it a little dated. His second book in this series ¿The Complete Fit or Fat?¿ delves further into topics such as the difference between glycemic index and glycemic load. I would strongly recommend both books to anyone interested in diet and health. However, if you were going to buy only one book, I would buy ¿The Complete Fit or Fat?¿Was this review helpful?
