Overview

These gals are like Dirty Harry...only over 50, female, and from the south.

Lillian Summer Fairview is settling right nice into the federal pen. She's even making peace with Big Martha, the toughest broad on the cellblock.

After hearing Lil's granny friends recently took down a swindler, Big Martha asks Lil for a favor. Her niece has fallen for a guy she met online, and Martha's convinced Mr. Too-Good-To-Be-True is up to no good. All Lil's friends have to do is a little look-see on the guy and report back. But when they poke around, they find the guy doesn't really exist, and that triggers a wild ride through the world of online dating.

Meanwhile, a cantankerous septic system on Lil's family estate in Summer Shoals, GA has the grannies fit to be tied. If Summer Haven isn't in shipshape before the historic society's inspection, they'll be in deep you-know-what.
Big Martha sweetens the deal by promising to fix what ails Summer Haven if the grannies can find the elusive Romeo.

Will the grannies track him down before the inspection, or will they find themselves in trouble right up to their granny panties?

Dirty Harry would not have stood a chance with these ladies!! With Lillian still on her extended vacation, Maggie, Sera and Abby Ruth are trying to keep up with everything that needs to be done at Summer Haven, Lillian's home. Now old Maggie, can handle a lot of things, but when the septic system blows, the repairs are just too much for her, but she doesn't admit to this until after she has tried. The historical society inspection is coming up, so the girls have to try to figure out a way to fix the sewage problem, or they will be up S--- creek without a paddle!! The only answer is to help Lillian's cell mate, Big Martha, with a little problem she thinks her niece is having, with a man she met on an online dating service. If the grannies can help Big Martha with her problem, she will send someone out to help with their septic problem, and that is when the fun really begins. Just imagine these ladies putting their profile on a dating website! Then imagine that one of them actually gets a date, lol. This was a great book that will have you laughing out loud. I could not help but love these grannies, because even with their different attitudes, they really care about one another. Also, we got to meet Jenny and her son in this book, and get to know a little more about what happened between her and Teague. I really hope the two of them can work things out, maybe the grannies will have to help them. If you love to read books that will make you laugh, and leave you feeling good then this series is for you. Great job Nancy Naigle and Kelsey Browning!!!

first one. Like zome of the other reviews too many unanswered questions. But I am so enthralled with the characters I have to read more. CB

Really loved the first book, but this one left out much of the fun! There were too many unanswered questions such as why no money to fix the plumbing when the ladies just "took back $100,000 " front the bad guy Nash in the first book. The plot had many laugh out loud possibilities but I was left hanging, by too much of the dating plot and the sewer issues that could have been hilarious, but played that the ladies are just to dumb to speak up, come on Ruth Anne being pushed into things? In the first book she'd have kicked butt & taken names. The fun was just flat for me in this one, sorry.

I agree with the 3rd review. The ending was horrible. The authors never bothered to tell you the ending on any of the storylines going on. Instead they give you a preview of the next book. why would I buy another book with no ending. It is a waste of my time and money.
