I currently workout five days a week at a commercial gym. I am in good shape. I wanted to see if I need to modify my current workout to specifically train for surfing. As a result of reading the book, I've included more flexibility and balance work in my workouts.

the problem with this book is it has no assessments. yea, great exercises, those can be found anywhere. but how do i know the ones that are right for my age and conditioning? some of the exercises shown can and would do more harm than good if not done precisely. they would need to be shown to you by an expert on a hands on basis, and designed with a program that has proper progression.

Fit to Surf is an excellent training and workout guide. Rocky's book explains the exercises needed to perform well on the water and stay healthy. I would recommend it to anyone looking to get in shape and stay in shape for surfing.
