Children's LiteratureThis sixth book in Christelow's "Five Little Monkeys" series captures the silly antics of this wild, wacky group when their Mama goes out dancing and Lulu comes over to baby sit. After giving strict instructions to the monkeys, Mama leaves for the evening, and it should be a pretty easy night for Lulu as long as she puts the monkeys to bed at 8 P.M. sharp. As usual, however, things get crazy, as these monkeys play tricks on Lulu. Using hide-and-seek, the focus is really on counting as Lulu searches for the five little monkeys. The amusing illustrations also leave room for young readers to help look for the monkeys and to count along with Lulu. This lively book will be fun to read aloud with your child while leaving room for them to learn. What a great addition to any children's book collection.
