Overview

Who's hungry? EVERYONE. Who has time to cook? NO ONE.
Dig out the slow cooker. Add a second and a third if you wish. Fill one with main-dish fixins and the others with go-alongs. Do it in the morning--or between work and after-school events.

Come home to richly-flavored, ready-to-serve food.

Slow cookers are having a comeback. With good reason. They are friends on a day of running errands. They allow easy entertaining with no last-minute preparation. And vegetarians won't find a better way to work with dried beans.

Slow cookers are gentle with the food budget--less expensive ingredients flourish in their slow, moist heat.

Fix-It and Forget-It offers the range of recipes slow cookers do well: Appetizers and Snacks, Soups and Stews, Main Dishes (with and without meat), Vegetables and Go-Alongs, Desserts and Beverages.

Bring an element of simplicity--and quality--to your pressured life! Let your slow cooker work for you.

Skyhorse Publishing, along with our Good Books and Arcade imprints, is proud to publish a broad range of cookbooks, including books on juicing, grilling, baking, frying, home brewing and winemaking, slow cookers, and cast iron cooking. We’ve been successful with books on gluten-free cooking, vegetarian and vegan cooking, paleo, raw foods, and more. Our list includes French cooking, Swedish cooking, Austrian and German cooking, Cajun cooking, as well as books on jerky, canning and preserving, peanut butter, meatballs, oil and vinegar, bone broth, and more. While not every title we publish becomes a New York Times bestseller or a national bestseller, we are committed to books on subjects that are sometimes overlooked and to authors whose work might not otherwise find a home.

Own the paperback copy. My favorite thing about it is the variety of similar recipes. If I want to make beef stew, I can usually find a recipe using what I have in the pantry, without making a trip to the store. I like to try recipes that are submitted by more than 1 cook from different parts of the country, thinking this must be good.

Was a bit disappointed in this cookbook, some errors in spelling and makes you wonder if other errors were made. I have the Fix-It and Enjoy-It Cookbook and really like that one. There were not many recipes in this book that I want to try. I do like to use my Crock Pot, but would recommend other books for recipes.

Hundreds of fixable recipes to suit every skill level of cooking. I dare you not to find recipes that will become instant classics with your family..and the house smells so good when you get home after a long day.

I have over 500 cookbooks and this is the best one of all. I love the quick recipes and the desserts. I made the Cherry Delight and brought it to work. Everyone wanted a copy of the cookbook. I have now picked up 22 copies for friends and to give as gifts. When my son came home from college he looked at it and wanted a copy because he loves crockpot cooking. I highly recommend it to anyone who is busy but still wants to make yummy dinners for their family.
