A YOUNG WOMAN'S QUEST TO UNRAVEL THE UNIVERSE

The future. In response to global warming, the "Ecological Community" has banned science and technology, returning to an austere agricultural life and nature-worship. One young farmer, Fizz, is tormented by her burning curiosity to explore the universe.

Leveraging a controversial legal loophole and her "Outsider" father’s invention, Fizz travels back in time and engages in conversations with Galileo, Newton, Edison, and Einstein. Unraveling the mysteries of the universe, she relives the contradictory ways in which science and technology redefine the human experience.

Returning as a changed person from her epic quest, Fizz faces the decision that will change her world forever.
__________

In the genre of the highly successful Sophie's World, Fizz weaves the bizarre and inspiring history of physics into the touching, dramatic, personal story of a young woman named Fizz who comes of age while voyaging across the centuries.

Editorial Reviews

Schreiber’s tale is an excellent introduction to the basics of Western physics
Holly Doering
Not since Sophie’s World, to which this novel bears important similarities, has there been a book to do for the scientific world what the former did for philosophy—inform, intrigue, and entertain… Men and women of all ages who enjoy learning outside of school will be enthralled with these adventures in physics… Zvi Schreiber’s writing is clear, the plot zooms along… A lot of fun.

Amazing - as fun as it's informative

A compelling story about an 18 year old young woman from an imaginary future community. As she met Galileo, Newton and Einstein I hardly realized how much I was learning about the secrets of our universe.

    Original and fun

Like "Sophie's World" for physics - quite an achievement. Nicely illustrated throughout with historical photos.
