Overview

Flash Drama – A Comic Collection
Introduction: Flash drama is a type of theatrical play that does not exceed ten minutes in duration, hence the name Flash drama. Groups of four to six flash drama plays are popular with school, university and community drama companies since they offer a wide variety of roles and situations in a single performance.
There are no set rules for flash plays but the typical play has certain characteristics, such as:
ten minutes long
one act
simple, if any, set design
one to four characters.

The twenty-one flash dramas in this collection all center around blind dates. Almost all of these ten minute comedies require only two characters, one male and one female. However, “Scream a Little Softer” requires four characters, and “Your Underwear Is Showing” consists of two males.
