Overview

Masen Crisfield fell in love with Booth Jones when she was sixteen years old. Booth was the love of her life. The rock she needed to get her through the day. Then she rips his heart out while he's deployed, leaving him wondering just what he'd done to warrant something so severe as a breakup that neither of them wanted.

Stubbornness is their middle name, and ten long years pass before either one of them try to breach the gap.

Circumstances force Booth to come home, and within an hour of him being back in his home town, there she is. Right back in the forefront of his mind where he knows she shouldn't be.

The day he starts his first civilian job at Kilgore Fire Department, his worst fear of seeing Masen is realized. And not only does he see her, but he sees her with another man. A fellow firefighter that he has to trust with his life.

It soon becomes apparent that they are both still just as much in love with each other now as they were the moment they met. But there's a problem. Booth's married, and Masen's in a committed relationship.

They fight the pull with everything they have, but they're both about to learn the true meaning of flash point as their lives crash together. Their love consuming everything in it's path.

Lani Lynn Vale does it again with Booth, a hot alpha man who comes back to claim his woman, Masen. This story has a little bit of everything that a reader loves from the Freebirds to the Dixie Wardens to the SWAT to the Uncertain Saints. Love those Kilgore Firefighters and EMTs.

So disappointing. I bought my copy. I usually love Ms. Vale's books. I was eagerly, impatiently waiting for this one. I am so very disappointed in this book and that makes me very sad. This book was sooo rushed. At important places, I still have no clue what was going on. Then there were things mentioned but never explained. Two examples, what is the issue between Bill and Boothe? What was bothering Boothe that Masen needed to find out. Examples of rushing. Huge, devastating breakup. They get back together but Masen knows there are still important problems to work through. Never mentioned again. Luke and Boothe should have a huge issue. All better now. Bad guy. Total implausible resolution written as rushed as possible. How were Dash's parents creepy? Why was Dash's father mad at Boothe? Oh, yes, please. Let's make the majority of the book about juggling being on the phone while driving with knees. And let's make this a good thing. Ms.Vale, I have bought all your books. I know what you are capable of doing. I am so disappointed. Please, either take the time to give your writing the attention it needs or take longer to write your books (even though, I want them NOW). Your characters and your books deserve your best. The reason for 2 stars. Even though the book was so bad everywhere else, it was still volcano hot.

Booth was the love of Masen’s life but it only took one misunderstanding for her to break his heart and hers in the process. Now he’s back home after having gone through multiple deployments but he didn’t come alone. Booth is married and even though Masen is in a relationship, it doesn’t take her long to realize that she’s still in love with him. Wow, I don’t even know where to begin. There’s so much that I loved about this book. Flash Point was just an all around great read that had me wanting more and more. I was so excited to read Masen and Booth’s story after the way Shock Advised ended. There’s plenty of humor to balance out the more heartfelt moments. I liked how Lani shared the memories from Masen and Booth’s past. It was a nice addition to the story. The best part for me was that even though they weren’t together they were still committed to their love and to each other. The love that they shared truly shined through no matter what they were faced with, even when it was just their own stubbornness that got in the way.

Another one knocked out of the park!! Great book. (Again) I don't think Miss Lani knows how to write anything but 5 stars.

4.5 stars. This was another great story for this series. It had some humor, action, and of course sexy scenes all rolled into a 180 page romance. Can not wait for next story!! ****

Boosen (Booth&Masen) Another hit from the talented Lani who seems to not be able to do know wrong. Booth and Masen are so perfect for each other even after time wasted. Masen facing a terrible time in her life broke up with Booth and regretted it soon after. Booth who's devastated and hurt ignores all attempts she made to ask for forgiveness. Ten years later both are still stubborn as all get out but can't deny the chemistry between them. This is a story that will have you feeling so many emotions from laughter to sorrow and so much more. Each book of Lani's weaves it own spell and wraps you up in her special brand of magic that's just as addictive as the alphas she writes. If you're in need of a series with characters that you can relate to, chemistry to melt you and laughter when you're feeling down then pick this book up.
