Thanks to her matchmaking grandma, Laura Kincaide has got the job of a lifetime and the last man on earth she would have chosen as a partner. How can she work under the same roof with Jack Thomas when she still hasn't forgiven him for breaking her teenage heart? How much will they get done when his sexy smile still makes her want to jump his gorgeous bones ?
Jack is more than willing to have his bones jumped by the girl who's grown into such a feisty woman. But there's the teeny problem of her attitude. How can he get her to come out and play when she won't even be in the same room with him? How can he convince her that being with him in the present will be far more satisfying than holding the past against him?

Wow! What a sizzling sexy corker! Just the thing to keep me company at the cottage. I picked it up and didn't put it down until I was done. Definitely recommend this to anyone who like their heroes hot and their humour dry. This book is a winner. Can't wait until the next Nancy Warren offering!
Author Nancy Warren has managed the near-impossible task of creating a book that¿s fun, sassy, sexy ¿ and also poignant and moving. When Laura Kincaide is asked to restore and decorate the old McNair House, she can¿t refuse. Since she was a girl she¿s had a strong sentimental attachment to the house, and even dreamed of living there one day with her puppy-love beau, Jack Thomas. At least up until Jack dumped her for a sexy cheerleader. You can imagine Laura¿s dismay when she finds that the contractor who will be doing the carpentry on the McNair House is no other than Jack. Jack¿s divorced now, the father of a delightful daughter who lives with him, and even more attractive than when they were teenagers. He¿d be happy to resume their old friendship but Laura is determined not to give him another opportunity to break her heart. She does her best to stay away from him, but it¿s difficult as they work to bring the McNair House ¿ a house Laura has always felt was built with love ¿ back to its former glory. Liking, passion and love grow between Laura and Jack (and if you¿ve never thought of green paint and turpentine as being sexy, think again!). Their fragile relationship faces a crisis, as does the fate of the McNair House, but both are resolved in the emotionally satisfying conclusion of Flashback.
Nancy Warren creates a hero-to-die-for in Flashback. Jack Thomas is sexy, sensative and endearing...every woman's dream man. Laura Kincaide tries her best to resist the man who dumped her for a cheerleader in high school. But one look in those sexy blue eyes and she's a gonner. For those of you who like a dash of dry humor, this author won't disappoint you. Nancy Warren delivers a winner in Flashback.
I absolutely loved 'Flashback' by Nancy Warren. Her plot speeds along at just the right pace and her characters are absolutely beautifully drawn, emotional and real. Poor Laura Kinkaid (an interior designer) has been in love with her hero Jack ( a carpenter) since high school and now they are working together restoring an old Victorian home in their hometown. This relationship sizzles from the moment they first lay eyes on each other again. They are meant for one another- if only they could give in to it. Ms. Warren is a craftswoman in her own right, weaving humor, passion, and romance into this beautifully written book. The love scenes are very HOT and I found that this really succeeded in getting my stressed out, overworked brain to focus on more sensuous pursuits. I think my husband is very glad I read 'Flashback'!! I highly recommend this book!
