I am a professional fitness trainer, so I read alot of diet and fitness books. This book sounds alot like other diet books---it promises to drop pounds and inches---QUICKLY! That is great. I have read through much of it, and some of the techniques are definitely worth incorporating into a daily routine. I will pick and choose which ones to prescribe to my personal training clients. So, this book is worth the read. However, the one that I give to EVERY new client is, "Build Your Mind, Your Body Will Follow". Without the proper initial motivation, the weight you quickly shed from dieting will often come right back...and my clients love "Build Your Mind, Your Body Will Follow".

Lots of good tips in this one. Loved the no crunch advice about toning the abs. Would recommend to others who want a slimmer waistline.

This book pulls together common sense information and makes it digestible and gives real recipes for real people. The daily eating allotment is 2000 calories (once you get past the first 4 days, which are 1600 calories)and is more than enough for an average man. Overall a good book that provides you with an eating plan that is flexible enough to LIVE with, not just use for 32 days.

Some of the gimmicks seem weird- spicy cucumber water? no thanks. Stay away from chewing gum because it gives you gas. Really? I'm not sure I buy the science behind any of that. But let's be honest- the real problem was hunger. I was hungry all the time and lost will power after the 1st couple of weeks. The lost weight came back as soon as I stopped starving myself. Same old story.
