Forstchen is a renowned student of miltary history and strategy

Forstchen is a renowned student of miltary history and strategy and he brings that to these tales. Based on war battles that happened inbetween the video games timeline but still using charcters from that famous series. This was my favorite of the series, I only hope it gets made into an epub file so that people can continue to enjoy it.

    One of the best.

Wing Commander: Fleet Action is quite possibly the best in the Wing Commander series. From beginning to end it held my attention and my interest. I have enjoyed the book in its entirety several times and will, no doubt, enjoy it again. I have been pleased with most of the books in this series and have nothing but good to say about William R. Forstchen and his style of writing. My only regret is that I have not found a new volume on my trips to the bookstore. This book, as well as the others, has a great sense of character development. In fact, the books that Forstchen has written seem to be centered on a single character, Geoffrey Tolwyn. Wing Commander: Fleet Action may be only one piece of the Tolwyn puzzle but it is, in my opinion, the best piece.
