There is a little bit of Sterling Rose in all of us, (some more than others) which is what makes this book so enjoyable. Leaving high school is a fun, but also intimidating part of life. It was refreshing reading about Sterling navigating herself through this time while struggling with and confronting her insecurities from the past that were left behind by those "mean" people we've all encountered. Sterling's triumphs become your own. I high recommend it!

I think almost every young girl can relate to her in some way and I found myself really rooting for her through out the book. I very much enjoyed seeing her come into her own. This is a great book for teens and young adults -- it really has such a great message in my opinion. When my own daughter gets old enough I plan to have her read it as well.
