Overview

Jack Gordon is Ann Arbor's most delectable bachelor. At age thirty-five, he's made millions as a top-selling Ann Arbor real estate broker and has the right connections to close a deal by any means necessary. With his rugged good looks and compelling personality, he has a virtual black book most men would kill for and he uses it often, never settling for one woman for very long.

While his D/s past remains buried, exactly where he wants it, an undercurrent of boredom and dissatisfaction runs through his life now. A disastrous experience years earlier made him swear off the whole scene, but the more Jack suppresses his natural Dom, the more his frustration grows.

Sara Thornton, a rookie in the real estate game, has fast-tracked herself to the top of the Ann Arbor market. Her life reflects a disciplined and focused routine, exactly the way she wants it. However, as her career takes off, the fulfillment she seeks remains inexplicably out of reach. The one thing she knows for sure, she will not join the Jack Gordon groupies in her company, no matter how tempting that might seem.

A chance encounter, then a difficult transaction, throw Jack and Sara together and the sparks fly high and hot and often. Forced to confront the compulsions that gain momentum with each sizzling encounter, their relationship seems to spiral out of control until Jack finally admits what he needs, and shows Sara what she's been missing.

I fell in love with Liz Crowe’s work when I read her 1Night Stand installments. I knew then that I would be a forever fan. So, when the opportunity arose and I had the chance to jump on her Stewart Realty series, I didn’t hesitate. The blurbs for the books sound fascinating and really called to me. I love BDSM elements in novels, and complexity in the characters I read about. Let me assure you that Liz Crowe’s first installment in her Stewart Realty series has those elements……and so much more!

I absolutely adored Sara. She was a complex character, but had a lot of personal issues that she needed to work through. The way she feels about men is obvious but her inner turmoil with the attraction she feels to the drop dead sexy real estate broker, is super sizzling! I can’t help but feel all the powerful emotions that she felt when she was around Jack. It was like I was in Sara’s shoes for the duration. The struggles with finding out who she really was on the inside, as well as the outside, was vibrantly done. Ms. Crowe hit it spot on with the creation of Sara!

I truly loved Jack’s character. He was complete alpha sexiness wrapped up in a real estate brokers business suit. The powerful Dom was evident through his need to control the situation, and his obsession with Sara is amazing. I loved the way Ms. Crowe created Jack’s character to be just as conflicted about his emotions as Sara was. Long burying his dominant side, he was overwhelmed with the feelings that Sara brings out in him. These two were amazing together!

The sizzling power of attraction and the sexiness of a take charge Alpha male attitude is incredibly written by this talented author. From the start, I was pulled into the story and kept there until the last word was said. These characters are life-like and the plot line is truly captivating. From passion to inner turmoil, to falling in love, these characters take the reader on a whirlwind of rides! I can’t wait to jump into book 2 and find out more about Jack and Sara and where their relationship is going.

Floor Time is book one in the Stewart Realty series by Liz Crowe

Floor Time is book one in the Stewart Realty series by Liz Crowe.

This first installment of the Stewart Realty series introduces us to Jack Gordon and Sara Thornton, both realtors in the premier Stewart Realty Agency. Jack is the golden boy of Stewart Realty, while Sara is a promising new addition to the Stewart family. Still reeling from a hook-up with a co-worker who she later finds out is engaged, Sara swears off relationships, especially with anyone she works with, and she’s determined to focus all of her attention on building her career. Unfortunately, the one co-worker she cannot seem avoid is Jack Gordon. The prickling electricity she feels whenever they’re in the same room is confusing to the point of distraction.

Thirty-five-year-old Jack Gordon is the epitome of a living, breathing alpha sex god. He oozes sex from every pore of his six-foot, four inch dark frame. With his bright blue eyes and stunning white smile, there is no shortage of women shamelessly throwing themselves at Jack’s feet. Sara, however, is not one of them, and she’s determined to keep it that way despite the undeniable gravitational pull that seems to suck her in every time their eyes meet.

Author Liz Crowe has created two of the most confusing characters I’ve read in a very long time. Yes, Jack can be charming, and there is no denying he’s sex in a suit, but he’s also a man-whore. I want to like him. Sometimes I think I do like him. I definitely don’t’ trust him… well, at least I don’t think I do, but I want to. He can be sweet and charming, and in the blink of his bright blue eyes, he becomes sharp tongued, and I want to smack him – or I want Sara to. He can be so self-absorbed and frustratingly cocky that – much like Sara – I found myself vacillating between loving him and being disgusted by him. Poor Sara. I felt sorry for her a little. It’s really hard to hold your resolve when the man is literally rocking your world, and there’s no doubt Jack takes Sara to the places fantasies are made of. The sex – because it’s definitely not “love making,” no, no way – is raw, and rough and full of lust for the sheer satisfaction of their physical attraction. Nothing more, but definitely nothing less.

Sara, on the other hand, is her own heart-shaped-box of confusion. There’s no doubt Jack can play her body like a finely crafted violin. But outside the bedroom, the two are oil and water. And then they’re a perfect blend of sweet and savory. And then they’re back to oil and water again. My feelings for them were so confused most of the time, I kept reading just hoping for some resolution for my poor, bewildered mind.

To even hint at whether I got my answers would be unfair. Misery loves company after all. Floor Time kept me up into the wee hours of the morning. There was no way my mind would rest until I had a resolution. Suffice to say, it was a good thing I already had Sweat Equity (book two) in my Kindle queue as the dreaded “The End” appeared. It’s been a long time since a story has had my mind in this much of a twist.

Floor Time earns four complicated stars.

: Sparks fly immediately between Sara and Jack. The more they are thrown together the more sparks. Jack brings out a part of Sara she didn't know even existed and Sara has awakened a part of Jacks past he had kept buried and wasn't sure he wanted brought back up.
I loved this story. It was fast past, a page turner and oh so hot. All the character are so well done. I became both Sara and Jack. And Jack? He is the man we all dream of whether you want to admit it or not! I will be grabbing up the rest of this series soon!
I recommend this book to anyone that likes blue collar workers, office romance, and really hot and steamy love story and sex.

After reading others reviews of this series, I bought the first book "Floor Time" thinking if I didn't like it, I wouldn't move onto the second book. I didn't just like it, I loved it! I love the dynamic between Sara and Jack, they have amazing chemistry, can be frustrating though, and that it what makes the beginning of their story so spectacular! This has been by far the best series that i've read, and I have been falling in love with Liz Crowe book ever since, she has a wonderful gift with her writing style, and has made me a big fan. Read all 6 books of this series, I can assure you, you won't be disappointed!

Professional woman falls for "company cocksman"

Those who like a story of a usually steady but somewhat lonely professional woman falling for a strutting, provocative, take charge, "company cocksman" might really enjoy this story. It's well written and I understand Jack's character will be very attractive to some readers. I personally needed more than Jack's inner dialog, obscene text messages, and very sporadic heated encounters to see why Sara would want him for more than a hot lay.

The light BDSM element struck me as a cover to allow a professional woman to lust after (and therefore fall in love with?) an experienced player who seems to only know how to sexually bowl over a woman like a sex object. Jack has a raw attractiveness for a strong, confident, sexually charged type of man, but I didn't see Sara's basic lust evolve into any type of "love" and/or even a submissive/bottom's trust for a Top/Dominant. (In fact, she emoted quite the opposite feeling.)

Not the book for me. This books' description sounded like something I would enjoy reading, and the fact that it was free didn't hurt. I have never read anything by this author and I am always looking for new reads.
This book totally was not for me. I had to read the prologue and first chapter twice and was still confused on what was going on. After I forced myself thru chapter 3, I gave up.
Some authors and some readers just don't mesh. Unfortunately, I feel this was the case here. The story line just did not flow for me, nor did it make me want to continue reading it. Sorry to say I could only give it one star. But this is my personal opinion. I am sure this author has many fans out there. I'm just not one of them.

    It's an ok book.

This book was just a little too far fetched for me. There were some good scenes, but it wasn't a book I had a hard time putting down.

    Hmmm...could have been better...

I'm not really sure where to go with my review, I mean I want to like this book and I guess a part of me actually did like it. The push and pull between Jack and Sara was very interesting to read.

I especially liked Sara's character because she didn't blatantly throw herself at Jack, like the other women. She went about her life and let him do all the chasing. I didn't like that she tried using Craig to forget about Jack, he was too sweet for a ploy like that. Jack, well he was your typical manwhore. I wanted to like him but his character just can't be liked nor trusted, we're talking about a 6'4 man with muscles on top of muscles and he can't get one woman to stop grabbing his crotch? Spare me, he's an ass and a player who only wants Sara because she doesn't chase him, she's a challenge...plain and simple.

From what I can tell the next two books have a whole lot of more indecisions on Sara's part, more fighting, more misunderstandings....blah blah blah...the author needed to quit while she was ahead...give Sara and Jack their happily ever after and then if she wanted to continue with the series, bring in the stories of the other characters, but in between she has two useless books with Jack and Sara...what for?

    Guilty Pleasure

The story and character developmment started off slowly, but got better and better. I appreciated the fact that all the main characters, especially Sara, are responsible, grown adults and not 21 year old naive college students. I am planning to read more from this author. (18+)
