Jack Gordon is Ann Arbor's most delectable bachelor. At age thirty-five, he's made millions as a top-selling Ann Arbor real estate broker and has the right connections to close a deal by any means necessary. With his rugged good looks and compelling personality, he has a virtual black book most men would kill for and he uses it often, never settling for one woman for very long.

While his D/s past remains buried, exactly where he wants it, an undercurrent of boredom and dissatisfaction runs through his life now. A disastrous experience years earlier made him swear off the whole scene, but the more Jack suppresses his natural Dom, the more his frustration grows.

Sara Thornton, a rookie in the real estate game, has fast-tracked herself to the top of the Ann Arbor market. Her life reflects a disciplined and focused routine, exactly the way she wants it. However, as her career takes off, the fulfillment she seeks remains inexplicably out of reach. The one thing she knows for sure, she will not join the Jack Gordon groupies in her company, no matter how tempting that might seem.

A chance encounter, then a difficult transaction, throw Jack and Sara together and the sparks fly high and hot and often. Forced to confront the compulsions that gain momentum with each sizzling encounter, their relationship seems to spiral out of control until Jack finally admits what he needs, and shows Sara what she's been missing.

Meet the Author

Amazon best-selling author, beer blogger, brewery marketing expert, mom of three, and soccer fan, Liz Crowe is a Kentucky native and graduate of the University of Louisville currently living in Ann Arbor. She has decades of experience in sales and fund raising, plus an eight-year stint as a three-continent, ex-pat trailing spouse.
Her early forays into the publishing world led to a groundbreaking fiction subgenre, “Romance for Real Life,” which has gained thousands of fans and followers interested less in the “HEA” and more in the “WHA” (“What Happens After?”). More recently she is garnering even more fans across genres with her latest novels, which are more character-driven fiction, while remaining very much “real life.”
With stories set in the not-so-common worlds of breweries, on the soccer pitch, in successful real estate offices and at times in exotic locales like Istanbul, Turkey, her books are unique and told with a fresh voice. The Liz Crowe backlist has something for any reader seeking complex storylines with humor and complete casts of characters that will delight, frustrate and linger in the imagination long after the book is finished.
Don’t ever ask her for anything “like a Budweiser” or risk bodily injury.

Floor Time is book one in the Stewart Realty series by Liz Crowe. This first installment of the Stewart Realty series introduces us to Jack Gordon and Sara Thornton, both realtors in the premier Stewart Realty Agency. Jack is the golden boy of Stewart Realty, while Sara is a promising new addition to the Stewart family. Still reeling from a hook-up with a co-worker who she later finds out is engaged, Sara swears off relationships, especially with anyone she works with, and she’s determined to focus all of her attention on building her career. Unfortunately, the one co-worker she cannot seem avoid is Jack Gordon. The prickling electricity she feels whenever they’re in the same room is confusing to the point of distraction. Thirty-five-year-old Jack Gordon is the epitome of a living, breathing alpha sex god. He oozes sex from every pore of his six-foot, four inch dark frame. With his bright blue eyes and stunning white smile, there is no shortage of women shamelessly throwing themselves at Jack’s feet. Sara, however, is not one of them, and she’s determined to keep it that way despite the undeniable gravitational pull that seems to suck her in every time their eyes meet. Author Liz Crowe has created two of the most confusing characters I’ve read in a very long time. Yes, Jack can be charming, and there is no denying he’s sex in a suit, but he’s also a man-whore. I want to like him. Sometimes I think I do like him. I definitely don’t’ trust him… well, at least I don’t think I do, but I want to. He can be sweet and charming, and in the blink of his bright blue eyes, he becomes sharp tongued, and I want to smack him – or I want Sara to. He can be so self-absorbed and frustratingly cocky that – much like Sara – I found myself vacillating between loving him and being disgusted by him. Poor Sara. I felt sorry for her a little. It’s really hard to hold your resolve when the man is literally rocking your world, and there’s no doubt Jack takes Sara to the places fantasies are made of. The sex – because it’s definitely not “love making,” no, no way – is raw, and rough and full of lust for the sheer satisfaction of their physical attraction. Nothing more, but definitely nothing less. Sara, on the other hand, is her own heart-shaped-box of confusion. There’s no doubt Jack can play her body like a finely crafted violin. But outside the bedroom, the two are oil and water. And then they’re a perfect blend of sweet and savory. And then they’re back to oil and water again. My feelings for them were so confused most of the time, I kept reading just hoping for some resolution for my poor, bewildered mind. To even hint at whether I got my answers would be unfair. Misery loves company after all. Floor Time kept me up into the wee hours of the morning. There was no way my mind would rest until I had a resolution. Suffice to say, it was a good thing I already had Sweat Equity (book two) in my Kindle queue as the dreaded “The End” appeared. It’s been a long time since a story has had my mind in this much of a twist. Floor Time earns four complicated stars.

: Sparks fly immediately between Sara and Jack. The more they are thrown together the more sparks. Jack brings out a part of Sara she didn't know even existed and Sara has awakened a part of Jacks past he had kept buried and wasn't sure he wanted brought back up. I loved this story. It was fast past, a page turner and oh so hot. All the character are so well done. I became both Sara and Jack. And Jack? He is the man we all dream of whether you want to admit it or not! I will be grabbing up the rest of this series soon! I recommend this book to anyone that likes blue collar workers, office romance, and really hot and steamy love story and sex.

After reading others reviews of this series, I bought the first book "Floor Time" thinking if I didn't like it, I wouldn't move onto the second book. I didn't just like it, I loved it! I love the dynamic between Sara and Jack, they have amazing chemistry, can be frustrating though, and that it what makes the beginning of their story so spectacular! This has been by far the best series that i've read, and I have been falling in love with Liz Crowe book ever since, she has a wonderful gift with her writing style, and has made me a big fan. Read all 6 books of this series, I can assure you, you won't be disappointed!

4.5 heart squeezing stars Favorite Quotes: “She hated the game he had played with her this morning, hated his easy use of the word ‘baby’ around her, and absolutely despised how much she wanted to hear it again.” “What I know right now is that there is something about you, Sara Thornton, that has me spinning in circles.  It pisses me…”  “I’ve been on my own long enough that I buy myself flowers, make my own pancake breakfasts, and am more than a little emotionally constipated.”   My Review: My first Liz Crowe book, now I see what all the fuss is about.  She has mad skills!  But I fear she is going to break my heart with these characters.  The protagonists are well matched, although they attract and scare each other in to acting irrationally and thoughtlessly, and while being wildly successful in their careers, both are badly damaged and painfully stupid about relationships.  When they argue, it squeezes my heart.  Both characters are a hot mess yet, likeable and fully fleshed out… I feel I know them as if they are living and breathing entities.  The story line and writing are witty, clever, insightful, deliciously steamy, and mesmerizing with a push/pull dynamic.  I am suffering a book hang-over reading through this series due to the fact that I can’t seem to put my kindle down… there are constant twists and turns and I just can’t wait to see what storm is brewing next.  Ms. Crowe keeps things popping.

Jack Gordon is sex on legs! His winning smile, his affable demeanor, gorgeous body *swoon*, and from what everyone says ( he has been around the block a few times) he is the best lover that any woman has ever had... but could not keep. Under that exterior, you know there is more and in this story we get to see just how scared he is of being alone and of making a commitment and being hurt. You see, he has been there before and does not want to ever experience that sense of loss again. Meeting Sara, totally unprepared, he felt the full impact of the attraction between them. Slam, bam! He is struck and cannot get that woman out of his mind. His on and off again relationship with Sara is something to experience! He needs her complete submission but does not know how far to take her before he is committed to her. How can you have a Dom/sub relationship without investing yourself to each other and trusting each other. Sara has been warned of Jack's legendary sexual ping pong. Can you ever warn a woman who is attracted to a man and seen her walk away? I haven't. When that primal emotion strikes and the pheromones are flying, there is very little your brain can control. Jack challenges her and understands her untapped potential sexually. What is a girl to do? This is a great story of love, loyalty, trust and commitment... but wait, there is more. Keep reading this series. I am not putting these books down until I get to the end of their story.

Those who like a story of a usually steady but somewhat lonely professional woman falling for a strutting, provocative, take charge, "company cocksman" might really enjoy this story. It's well written and I understand Jack's character will be very attractive to some readers. I personally needed more than Jack's inner dialog, obscene text messages, and very sporadic heated encounters to see why Sara would want him for more than a hot lay. The light BDSM element struck me as a cover to allow a professional woman to lust after (and therefore fall in love with?) an experienced player who seems to only know how to sexually bowl over a woman like a sex object. Jack has a raw attractiveness for a strong, confident, sexually charged type of man, but I didn't see Sara's basic lust evolve into any type of "love" and/or even a submissive/bottom's trust for a Top/Dominant. (In fact, she emoted quite the opposite feeling.)

This book had some merit but it unraveled and lost the plot thread,

Not the book for me. This books' description sounded like something I would enjoy reading, and the fact that it was free didn't hurt. I have never read anything by this author and I am always looking for new reads. This book totally was not for me. I had to read the prologue and first chapter twice and was still confused on what was going on. After I forced myself thru chapter 3, I gave up. Some authors and some readers just don't mesh. Unfortunately, I feel this was the case here. The story line just did not flow for me, nor did it make me want to continue reading it. Sorry to say I could only give it one star. But this is my personal opinion. I am sure this author has many fans out there. I'm just not one of them.

This book was just a little too far fetched for me. There were some good scenes, but it wasn't a book I had a hard time putting down.
