Editorial Reviews

From the Publisher
Kathy designed her quilt "Flourish on the Vine" with inspiration from her favorite bible verse "I am the vine, you are the branches" -- John 15:5. This graceful and sophisticated quilt is stunning with soft muted colors. It is divided into twelve sections making it easier to complete. Advanced quilters will find a challenge with the lush and intricate pieces yet a confident beginner will have no problem following Kathy's instructions in the included 15 page color booklet. Kathy walks you through choosing a color palette, marking the background fabric, making freezer paper templates, preparing the applique patches ... including those that overlap ... reverse applique and her favorite applique technique "needle-turn." Full size patterns for all components are included.
--The Applique Society; January/February 2013

A Flair For Applique. A verse from the Bible, wrought ironwork and festoons of fruit from the Roman Empire era were the inspirations for Kathy K. Wylie's award-winning quilt. Now you can make your own Flourish on the Vine with Kathy's detailed instructions for the needle-turn applique and construction. Full-size patterns are included.

If you saw the cover of Quilters Newsletter, April/May 2012, or the winner of the IQA Founders Award in Houston in 2011, then you will know what I am talking about. This quilt, designed by Kathy K. Wylie of Whitby, Ontario can now be yours - with a bit of work of course. Kathy has put together this book of her quilt design which was released in December 2012 and includes full-size pattern pieces. If you go to Kathy's website, www.kathykwylie.com, you will also see some smaller projects she has made using design portions of the original quilt. I just took a class with Kathy based on her first book Sewflakes. If you get a chance to take a course with her she is a wonderful instructor and shared lots of tips and tricks - just like her books!
--Canadian Quilter Magazine; Spring 2013

Now you can make Kathy K. Wylie's award-winning quilt 'Flourish on the Vine' by following the comprehensive instructions and using the full-size pattern sheets to complete this graceful and sophisticated quilt, which is divided into twelve sections, making it easier to complete.
