Meet the Author

Johnie L. Cook (Retired) CPP (Certified Professional Photographer) With over 30 years' experience in wedding photography, shares his story of how a Wedding can flow from one scene to the next with a minimum of hassle. This is a good book for those that plan on entering the business and those that are struggling to shoot a wedding without looking foolish.

I had the privilege of traveling with the owner of a aircraft company as her personal photographer, that provided me with the opportunity to develop and grow my own Wedding and Portrait business that I could run out of our home as a side line business. I was able to join local, state and national photography associations, was president of our local, served on the board of the state level and attended conventions, seminars and schools, all the time furthering my education. One of my highest honors was to test for, and earn the "Certified Professional Photographer" Degree from Professional Photographers of America. Not an easy task to accomplish. With the invention of the digital camera, it became pretty easy for anyone with a camera to call him or her self a "professional". But what I'm seeing being produced is a long way from what I know is "professional photography", I hope that this book will help those new to the field.
