It started with "The Red Church" and hasn't ended yet. I'm referring, of course, to my affection for the works of Scott Nicholson. He is a superb writer who knows how to create fictional characters that don't seem too fictional at all. They seem like real people -- the kind of people you'd meet next door, down the street ... or in the spirit world. His tales are provocative and atmospheric, and your reading experience will go up several notches if you give one of his tales a try.
FLOWERS, a collection of some of Scott's finest stories, is a great place to start. One of my favorites is "Haunted," a story with a twist. Others include the lively "The Vampire Short Stop," "Skin" and "Kill Your Darlings." The book also contains bonus material, such as a story Scott wrote when he 18 years old.
Scott is best known for his creepy tales, but his stories cross all genres, appealing to a broad audience.
Believe you me, you won't be disappointed. I've read a lot -- continue to do -- and Scott Nicholson is one of the best writers working today, and he remains one of my all-time favorites. He'll become one of yours, too.

This wonderful collection of stories takes me back to my favorite TV shows from way back; Twilght Zone, One Step Beyond, and Night Gallery. I'd love to see this collection of stories made into a TV format or Movie (s). I am a fan and will continue to read Scott Nicholson's work. Brilliant author with a great imagination. Looking forward to his next book.
