Purpose: The purpose is to provide a review of and impart important information about the principles of fluids, electrolytes and acid-base balance. The book is written by nurses from across the country who are experts in the content area they cover. There is definitely a need for a review of this complex subject for students and novice nurses. The objectives of the book are well written and precise, and the author meets them.
