Some parts were predictable and the authors repetitive use of some phrases got on my nerves, but all in all, good. I get the whole 'the heart wants what the heart wants' deal but what about Peter??? He's my favorite; the beautiful tortured soul. Why can't Hocking give him a happy ending already? Alice is hurting him more just because she can't keep her libido in check, or she needs a hug. Seriously, can't she do anything other than pity herself and cry?! ARGH! the only thing she seems to say is "no! etc. this is stupid! etc." GOD she is so useless. Even more so than the dog. At least Matilda doesn't blame everything bad in her life on Peter or spend 80% of the time feeling guilty about about shlt that she shouldn't have done it the first place. At least MATILDA doesn't go around causing buttloads of problems to those around her. Why do they all love Alice?
On a side note, Olivia and Peter are totally badass!
But the ending! Mae's an idiot. Ezra's probably going to save her. AGAIN. Why can't that man get a break? All he does is take care of everyone else.
T_T I don't even want to talk about the rest of it!
P.S. Sorry. I know I keep leaving comments (rants) instead of reviews but I just can't help myself cause I've been trying to hold back since I reviewed the first book.

This series had sucked me right in! I love Alice, she's strong & independent! So looking forward to the next book, there's more to Alice & Milo then what we think! I hope she ends up with Peter!

The entire series is replete with so many grammatical errors and typos, that it was hard to stay focused on the overly simplistic story line. When she said she wore "high heals", I totally lost it. Amanda, get a proof reader or go back to grade school. Want a good fantasy series? Read Karen Moning's Fever series.

in book two there was some phrase about a 'decedent' which was completely misused...completely NOT the word they wanted there. bare with me instead of bear with me. omg there were spelling errors that actually made me laugh out loud. constant misuse of the possessive before a participle (him being rather than his being sad). really? the massive misuse of words took away from the storyline completely. you should not bust out laughing at a misused word and keep reading to see what else will be misspelled/misused/completely the wrong word. the trylle trilogy was better. better editor? i'll do it for free just to be able to read the story without laughing my azz off at very poor spelling.

Every book has been great so far in the series. Alice makes her choice and it is the right one for her . The house and its roommates are falling apart but Bobby and Milo are going strong ! Can't wait to start Wisdom the last book written so far in the series!

This book is to die for!!!!! I love it and i dont even notice the spelling and grammar people and i dont get it is such a big deal its not the auther its the ebook making the mistakes!!!!!!!!! Anyway i really enjoyed the book all around and i am all for JACK!!!!!!! He is like taylor lautner in my mind. I think that the auther didnt want to make it a normal vampire book i think that she did good with ixing it up a little bit in stead of the same old vampires that ar pale and ice cold ahd i think that that is getting kind of old. I love how she did the romance like imprinting in Twilight with Alice and Peter but the natural love with Jack

The first 3/4 of this is again A LOT like Twilight so it almost seems like you are going through the whole girl in love with 2 guys thing like always. Ending was very good and well written and that to me is what added excitment to the series. So I hope #4 can build off the ending instead of straying back to the typical love triangle which is bringing these book down.

Once again, I like the plot of the series and I get drawn into it every time. The story line is a strong one, with the sub plots as engaging as the main story. There are lots of twists and turns to keep the story moving, but the pace probably could have been a bit faster. The love triangle thing just doesn't seem to be progressing at all, with the same angst and issues going on in different situations. However, the characters themselves become more developed with each book, becoming more real and more personable. There was a subplot between Mae and Ezra that was just gut-wrenching at times and almost as key to the story as the main story line. But as much I enjoyed the plot and the characters, the grammar and lack of editing distracted me from the story. There were a lot of grammatical errors that stopped me cold, making me reread a sentence or two just to figure out what was going on. It is obvious there is talent there, but the editing really needs to improve for that to shine through.
