All Music Guide - Robert L. Doerschuk
A low-key tour de force, Flutterby reflects an uncommon maturity and breadth of talent, particularly for a debut effort. Boucher commands all the essential instruments; more than that, she layers her parts with an ear toward sounding like a solid backup band, as opposed to showing off. Her lyrics, which adhere to the confessional/heartache model, can revolve around unanswered questions: "Could this be the day I've waited for?" she sings on "Life Is Short," with the more enigmatic "What do I do?" in "I Can't Make Me" and "Can you see the lights?" elevated to prominence as a song title. While she doesn't overdo it, this does contribute to an impression of less than piercing insight; songs like "Soul Back" come across as clever more than profound or even poetic. Still, her hooks are strong, her vocal delivery assertive, and aside from a few mellow Joni Mitchell moments in her articulation and phrasing on "Drift On," Flutterby bristles with an agreeable, upbeat energy.

Awesome CD from a new artist

We saw/heard Butterfly Boucher opening for Sarah MacLachlan. We were only familiar with one song prior to hearing her live ("Changes" remake with David Bowe on the Shrek 2 CD). She is a wonderful musician and her CD is awesome. We bought her CD on the spot at the concert and had her autograph it. What a delightful person and fantastic musician. We look for good things from her in the future! I can highly recommend this CD to all music lovers.

    WHOA!!!!!!!!

I'm not much of pop/soft-type music person, I'm more of rock fan, but my friend got this CD and I listened to it and fell in love with it. The singer has an amazing voice and the pianos and such have an astounding melody. She has a beautiful voice in which you can fall asleep to. If you like this kind of music, or just have an open-mind, then check Butterfly Boucher out and if you like the samples, then I highly recommend you gettin' the CD!!!!!

A Breath: Flutterby, by, Butterfly Boucher

Butterfly Boucher is not mainstream pop, but is so infectious she might get mistaken. Butterfly Boucher, is an unique and rare talent. On Flutterby all the instruments are played by her, as well as the songs written, and the production of the songs. There is somthing about Flutterby that keeps pulling you back to listen. I can't expalin it. All the songs are exceptional. Life is Short- Just alltogether great, and wonderful lyrics A good book- a song about a tree? Oh, so good. (ALL ARE GREAT) Butterfly has and amazing stage presence, so please check her out live. She entertains and captivates with such ease. ENJOY GOOD MUSIC

    Amazing debut album!

I was introduced to Buttefly Boucher at a Sarah McLachlan concert. I have been to many concerts, and Butterfly Boucher was simply the best opening act that I have ever heard! Loved her music, her style, everything. I was lucky enough to meet her after her set, and she was awesome. Not only that, but the CD is great. You should check it out!

    Amazing Up&Comer

Excellent CD! Heard her live in concert (opening for Sarah McLachlan) and was really impressed (usually the opening act at shows stink and you can't wait for the headliner to show - but she completely wowed the audience). She has an amazing voice, very strong and pure. I Highly recommend Flutterby - it's rockin out in parts, softer in others, and altogether a great first album.
