I bought this book because I mostly fish Colorado's tailwaters, and was most impressed with Pat Dorsey's knowledge and information provided in this book. This book explains what tailwaters are, fishing techniques for all four seasons, river conditions & flows, techniques (nymphing, dry fly, streamers, etc.), presentation, and a whole lot more. I would call myself just a novice, but after reading the book cover to cover, and trying these techniques, I have deeply improved as a fly fisherman. The book has good illustrations, as well as some beautiful pictures of the many tailwaters of Colorado. I will be reading this boook again, as there are different techniques for the different seasons. I would recommend this book for any fly fisherman to add to his/her library as a great source to turn to.
