Meet the Author

Al Marlowe, freelance writer and photographer for outdoor recreation publications, is a member of the Rocky Mountain Outdoor Writers and Photographers. He has been published in American Angler; American Survival Guide; Arkansas Outdoors; Backpacker; Bird Dog News; Colorado Dept. of Natural Resources; Colorado Outdoors; National Wildlife Federation; Rocky Mountain Game & Fish; Rocky Mountain Streamside; and Western Outdoors.

Karen Rae Christopherson has been fishing (with some droughts) since 1970. She started tying flies at Fairview High School in Boulder since it counted as PE credit. A geophysicist by education and training, Karen has traveled extensively throughout the US and world, often with her fly rod in tow. Writing has been a passion since school and she feels fortunate to be authoring on fly fishing as a diversion from the technical world of the geosciences. Karen also acts as webmaster for coloradofishing.net and wyomingfishing.net. This is her third joint venture in publishing an e-book. Karen coauthored A Fly Fisher’s Guide to the North Platte River and Fifty Colorado Tailwaters: A Fly Fisher’s Guide.
