Editorial Reviews

Publishers Weekly
In the Wild Aces contemporary series opener, Cleeton energizes a stock romantic premise with appealing lead characters who have relatable problems and share a life-changing event. During a weekend visit to Las Vegas, clothing boutique owner Jordan Callahan meets U.S. Air Force fighter pilot Noah Miller in a bar. After some dirty dancing and raw, hungry lovemaking, Jordan and Noah are head over heels for each other and envisioning a future together. But their long-distance relationship between Florida and Oklahoma becomes even more of a struggle when Noah receives a two-year posting to Korea. The characters are profoundly changed after a devastating accident, and Cleeton’s prose fittingly addresses the “fragility of life.” This is a sentimental book about two people in love, the military family they are part of, and the danger and difficulty of military life. The multidimensional characters speak from the heart in this emotional page-turner. Agent Kevan Lyon, Marsal Lyon Literary. (May)

This series has been on my radar for months and whilst I know I’m a little late to the party, sometimes it’s the best way because I had the joy of reading this series back-to-back. I devoured it like a starving woman. "I’d never imagined my life could change so much in just a few short days." Chanel Cleeton is a new-to-me author, but has catapulted herself straight onto my auto-read list. I didn’t go into Fly with Me with any expectations but nevertheless, it was a welcome surprise just how deeply I fell in love with the group of people the Wild Aces series centralises around. "So you’re not going to fit the fighter pilot love-’em-and-leave-’em stereotype?" Noah “Burn” Miller and Jordan Callahan’s story is more than a romance. Whilst the romance between them is very much at the forefront and believe me, Noah more than lives up to his name as there is some serious heat created, the bigger picture is that he and Jordan are in their early thirties and have created lives for themselves; as much as they may share similar hopes and dreams for the future, life as an F-16 fighter pilot is never going to offer a settled predictable 9-5 lifestyle. “Every time I have to say good-bye to you, it feels like I’m being sliced in half” Told from both perspectives, it was this aspect that kept me gripped; the hows, the what ifs, the hopes and fears that both Noah and Jordan wrangle with. I fell in love with them both for their honesty, trust, determination and fun-loving sides and with moments that made me laugh, broke my heart (yes, I can confirm I shed tears) and sigh happily, Fly with Me is a book I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

I loved this! Right into the first few chapters the instant attraction was hawt! I liked how this author turned what should have been a one-night stand into a long distance relationship that struggled to survive military demands. It seems completely impossible, but I never felt like it wasn't realistic. The author talked about three defining moments in their life where everything changed for them and it was so profound it made me stop and think about how one second can change your life. The story starts out with the new relationship highs we all experience but then the reality of what it means to be a part of the military start to bring these two back to earth. The realness of what Jordan faces being a part of this military family was heartbreaking but also beautiful. To see these men come together like a family was inspiring to read about. I loved this couple and I am so intrigued about Noah's friends and what promises to be equally good stories. ARC provided by NetGalley

4.5 Stars Fly With Me is actually the first book I've read by Chanel Cleeton, though she has been on my "Author's I Want to Read Books By" list for quite some time. When presented with the opportunity to participate in the Wild Aces Reread Tour, I knew it was the perfect time to jump into this series and check out this author's writing. Fly With Me is actualy the first book in the series and boy is it a good one. I totally fell in love with the series and the author, and can't wait to read Into the Blue and On Broken Wings as well. Fly With Me is Noah and Jordan's story. They meet in Vegas at her sister's bachlorette party and their's is a story where what happens in Vegas definitely does not stay in Vegas. I loved Jordan, the female lead in the story.....her personality, her attitude, how comforable she was with who she was, her appearance, and her size, while still having that vulnerability that comes with falling in love. At 30 years old, she no longer wants to play the dating game and waste her time on something that's not real, but at the same time she doesn't know if she can fit into Noah's world and all that entails. Noah is the oh so very hot fighter pilot who you can't help but fall head over heels for as well. At 33, he's been pretty much married to the military for a long time now, a fact that has caused him to crash and burn in past relationships, and understandably so. Most women have a very hard time with this and many are not willing to compete with and/or be second to it. His job puts him at the top of the list for alpha hot male heroes, but it also comes with the realization that it can and will take him away from his family a lot of the time due to work, not to mention the danger involved in this profession. The secondary characters were something I especially enjoyed as well. They are a unit and feel each other's happiness and their pain, not to mention the comradery they had as a unit. I loved experiencing Noah and Jordan's journey of finding love, the hardships they had to overcome, the choices they made, their passion, their hurt, and the depth and strength that all of that brought to their relationship. The story is funny, sexy, romantic, and at times heartbreaking, but is definitely one that I am glad I made the time to read. Contemporary romance fans, you definitely will want to add this book and this series to your "To be read soon" list.

4.5 Stars! The slogan, "What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas," does not apply in Chanel Cleeton's newest offering, Fly With Me. The two main characters, clothing boutique owner Jordan Callahan, and Air Force fighter pilot Noah Miller, meet at the nightclub TAO, and begin a passionate love affair that is one for the record books. This is the first novel from the author's Wild Aces series and it can be enjoyed as a standalone. Jordan lives on the coast of Florida, where she is surrounded by family and friends. Jordan is single, and her mom never misses an opportunity to fix her up or chastise her about her single status. Spending the weekend with Noah changes her life completely, since their time together is hot and meaningful. Noah is presently based in Oklahoma, and his schedule is not his own. He and his flight buddies are very serious about their work, and they are their own family. Jordan and Noah are a steamy couple, both in and out of the bedroom. They fall in love very quickly, and they ache for each other when they are a part. Living so far away from each other poses many obstacles, yet they are able to work through them in order to be together. Jordan discovers how strangers become good friends when the military encompasses their lives. Noah realizes that love is just as important as flying. To begin with, the cover of this book perfectly depicts the story. Secondly, both main characters are extremely likable, and I was able to feel their lustful connection very quickly. The secondary characters are quite interesting, and Ms. Cleeton defines each one's personality with great finesse, to the point where I felt I knew a few of them quite intimately. The combination of sex, emotion and seriousness is well thought out and balanced. If you are in the mood for a sexy romance with a meaningful plot, then pick up a copy of Fly With Me. Sexy Pilot! http://www.cocktailsandbooks.com I was given an advanced copy of this book to write an honest review for Netgalley and Cocktails and Books. FLY WITH ME is the first book in the Wild Aces series and I thoroughly enjoyed this delightful, wild ride. It is a sexy story with a spunky heroine and a charming fighter pilot. The story is told from alternating POV’s and the writing is solid and incredibly hot. The characters are realistic and have depth and the story kept me riveted and turning the pages to find out what would happen next. Noah first meets Jordan when they are both visiting Las Vegas and there is an intense and immediate attraction between them. Jordan has never met anyone like Noah. She loves cocky guys and she finds Noah's confidence sexy and appealing. Noah’s flies F-16s for the Air Force and his call name is Burn. He is sexy, sweet, nice and considerate. I liked him and admired how open and honest he is with Jordan. He doesn't play games, he lets her know exactly how he feels about her. There is a lot of sexual tension between Noah and Jordan and they quickly realize their chance meeting is the best thing that ever happened to them. They are not looking for love but they find it and now they have to figure out how to make it work. Unfortunately, they both live in different states and are busy with their careers. Jordan owns a business in Florida and it hard for her get away and the Air Force keeps Noah busy and he is always traveling somewhere. It is not easy for them to find the time to be together. Jordan is strong and independent and everything with Noah just seems to click. She works hard and is torn between playing it safe or letting go and having a relationship with Noah. Noah and Jordan are great together and they have explosive chemistry. They are both in their thirties and have been busy with their successful careers. It interesting to learn what life is like in the military and how much commitment it takes. My only problem with the story was the abrupt ending. I was so invested in these two I wanted more information at the end. That said, I really enjoyed this story and I was immediately transported into their world.

U.S. Air Force fighter pilot, Noah "Burn" Miller and Jordan Callahan were drawn to each other from across the dance floor, it was like they were tethered together and the magnets were too strong for them to fight. Even though they lived in different states they made their long distance relationship work the best they could. "Promise me, we'll make this work." "I promise." Not only did they not want to be apart anymore, even with Noah's new orders they had no idea how they were going to be able to make it work. Noah asks her to marry him before he leaves for his next training exercise, and while they love each other, he wanted to make sure he was what she wanted. So he tells her that maybe they need to spend some time apart. The military world was new to Jordan, but she quickly realized that while relationships are hard, being in love with a military man was even harder. It was hard enough being away from Noah for a month and a half, it was even harder when tragedy strikes. She will never be able to get the memory out of her mind of hearing the words, "there's been a crash." The tragedy allowed Jordan to realize that while she was afraid of letting her self fall, she didn't want to always be safe and have the net at the bottom to catch her. She wanted Noah more. So whatever life brought, even if she ended up losing him in the end she wanted him over everything else. Chupacabra is a man she can't ignore, even with his sexy swagger turning her world upside down. Oh wow! What a story! I laughed, cried, smiled, and felt joy with these characters. When I say I cried, I don't mean I just teared up, nope, I ugly cried. I'm still trying to figure out where I put those extra tissues. This was the first book I have read by this author and I can't wait to read more especially of this series. I can't wait for Thor and Easy to get their books, especially Easy. One of my favorite phrases was, "Game on, fighter boy." The one conversation that sticks with me is the conversation between Dani and Jordan and how she needs to be strong for her husband everyday and not let him go to work thinking about a fight or what's going on at home, but thinking solely on flying because the slightest mistake can be the difference between life and death. Chanel brings forth the love and dedication military wives feel for their husbands, but also the difficulties and fear they face everyday. These are women that deserve our respect as much as their warrior husbands. This was a phenomenal book and one that I highly recommend. I was 16 when I saw Top Gun for the first time. The speed, the elegance of those powerhorses in the sky, the uniforms and hot guys, it all drew me in, fascinated me. Here is a bit of personal information: today I work in civil aviation because I love flying (as a passenger) as much as traveling. It's not comparable to the acrobatic art of flying a fighter aircraft but there is nothing cooler than sitting in a cockpit, feeling this monster of a machine take off and understanding the physics behind it. Needless to say that I wanted to read this series badly. Jordan is a boutique owner. She loves her professional independence and adores her job. Jordan accompanies her sister to Las Vegas to celebrate Meg's bachelorette party when the fighter pilots from the Wild Aces enter the party scene. Noah clocks Jordan the minute he sets foot into the bar and damn, this woman is a bombshell he can't pass up. They don't talk a lot but share an erotic dance that leaves both of them breathless. What starts with the prospect of a one-night stand develops into more with each minute these two spend together but the fun time in Vegas comes to an end and they both face the decision of how to go from here. Neither of them wants to walk away from their instant connection and they live in different states so long distance relationship it is. Throughout their journey they are on the same page as far as their feelings are concerned. But Noah has already a wife: the US Army Air Force. Is Jordan really ready to be a military girlfriend with all this entails, always coming second? Jordan and Noah both are incredibly endearing characters and my love for them knows no bounds. Our heroine has sass and isn't shy about herself or her appearance. She is smart, sexy, adorable and cheeky and follows her intuition which more often than not leads her on the right path. Noah. THAT MAN! Oh he is everything. A heady combination of fighter pilot, super alpha, self confidence and intensity. He wants to do right by Jordan and his honesty regarding his feelings is so exhilarating - I fell in love with him right away. There is no unnecessary drama to find in this story, everything that these two go through is relatable and has to happen to advance their relationship and move it forward. Jordan has a couple of freakouts in the face of how fast their relationship develops and who can blame her? She doesn't run away though, she gives good thought to it and makes her decision combining gut feeling and reason. Noah is right there with her but he grounds her when she is overwhelmed with her emotions. There was a funny scene with Noah sporting a mustache when his girl comes to visit and Jordan freaks out about it. Yes, it may appear shallow at first look but it still defines their relationship: Pick your battles and don't get hung up on unimportant drama. Insta-whatever is usually not my cuppa. I love the slow build of a relationship and all the nuances of the feelings that arise when you meet somebody who are attracted to. This here is insta-everything. These two meet, fall in lust and in love shortly after. Yet, this story ticked all of my boxes. I LOVED the hero. I ADORED the heroine and the story was captivating from the first page to the last. There is a little bit of heartbreak and lots of deep heartwarming emotions and as a huge bonus it had fight

4.5 Stars! The Nevada Tourism Bureau seriously needs to abandon their 'whatever happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas' tagline because a lot that happens in Vegas does not stay there. FLY WITH ME is a very sexy, steamy and humorous number that took me on an emotional spin and is the kind of book that makes all other activities optional until you finish reading it. Ms. Cleeton's Capital Confessions series made her one of my authors to watch, but this book has put her firmly on my list of auto-buy authors. The amazing thing about this book is that the story is a simple one that plays out every day in people's lives but she infused the characters with a vitality that makes them irresistible and nothing about their love story is overdone. I've read my fair share of romances but I've found that only few authors have the magic touch when it comes to sizzling and palpable chemistry between characters that leaps off the pages at a reader and balancing that with emotional depth and Ms. Cleeton is on my short list. Jordan and Noah are at the point in their lives where settling down with that special person has become a burning need and their explosive weekend together gives them a taste of what they can have if they take a chance on each other. The fun of this story is watching them try to navigate the difficulties that come with a long distance relationship. While the life of a fighter pilot looks very glamorous from the outside, I love that the author didn’t downplay the toll that pressure, fear and worry can take on a significant other or the high cost of loving someone in such a high risk job. She doesn’t skimp on the humor either, even when the characters are in the midst of a drag down, knock out fight and I laughed so hard at ‘Chester the Molester’. Jordan is my favorite kind of heroine. She has a large personality, she's confident, she's high maintenance and unapologetic about it, but she's also very down to earth. There are almost no words for Noah. He’s cocky, confident and hot enough to make your ovaries sit up and take notice but he’s also very adorable as he struggles to find his footing in a relationship that matters more than any other before it. I love this book so much and I think it’s a must read and should be at the top of everyone’s TBR list. Disclaimer: I received this book for free from the Publisher in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

I am not sure what I was expecting, but wow did I get a heck of a book. You like Noah and Jordan from the very beginning, and you can feel their connection. It is not a shock when neither of them want what they have to end when they leave Vegas. But Vegas was easy. The hard part is the real life, the one where she owns a store in Florida and he is a fighter pilot in Oklahoma...for now. I didn't know that this story actually mirrors Cleeton's actual life until after I finished and read her bio on Amazon, but I did have the impression throughout the story that she knew what she was talking about, that the struggles felt authentic. I loved that the drama in their relationship really didn't come from them...he means it when he tells her that he is not going anywhere. I really liked that he realized he loved her, was looking for the right time, and then just said it. It was so real. This is a re-read...for the story and the emotion.

Chanel Cleeton has been an author I’ve wanted to read for awhile now. I just for whatever reason never made doing so a priority. I don’t know what I was thinking!! Chanel needs to be on everyone’s reading list!!! While in Vegas, Air Force fighter pilot Noah Miller sees boutique store owner Jordan Callahan from across the room. The attraction is instant. What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, right? Not. After a one night stand, the two realize that one night just isn’t enough. They start a long distance relationship which seems doomed from the start. They have trouble seeing each other because of distance and work schedules. But, they’re committed to seeing where this relationship can lead. Going into reading Fly With Me, I thought I was just going to get your normal everyday romance. Boy, was I wrong. Fly With Me is told in first person, from the viewpoints of both Noah and Jordan. These two are sizzling hot. The story goes from fun and playful to serious. I’ll admit I have a girl crush on Jordan. She’s funny, over the top, sassy, and strong-willed. Noah is my kind of hero. He’s sexy and funny. He knows what he wants and he goes after it. He’s career military and tends to roll with the punches. Being in the military is hard. Being in love is hard. Neither are for the faint of heart. But being in love with someone in the military takes hard and difficult to a whole new level. Chanel has shown the beautiful and dark side of being in the military and loving someone who chooses to risk their life for their country. This book will make you swoon, laugh, and cry. I can’t wait to read the other books in this series. **Received a copy from Berkley in exchange for an honest unbiased opinion.**

It started out to be a game, Jordan knew how to play it. She had been through some. But that weekend in Vegas turned out to be something more and something real. Was she ready to risk her heart to Noah? Can she handle a relationship with a fighter pilot? I think this book would be greatly appreciated by the wives, girlfriends and women who aren't that sure about getting into relationships with service men. Chanel Cleeton had nailed it big time. There was so much feels, steam and romance rolled into one precious book. She explains how hard it is to become THAT woman, and yet how fulfilling that role can be. Love can be hard, relationships can be tough, you may have problems with communications, and sometimes it may bring you a lot of frustration and heartaches, but when you truly love someone - you can get through everything because you believe in that love, and whatever happens, you hold on to that love, that trust. All I can say is that you need to read this. You just have to. It’s like talking to a friend who’s giving you some sound advice when it comes to love. It will inspire you to love and to take risk. To think before jumping into something unknown and to make something complicated to simple. There was enough steam to keep the heat up on the cold nights, (and I thought that was it, but I was so wrong) there was so much heart, that emotions could burst through you. I love the maturity of their relationship, the ‘realness’ of it, and the fact that anyone can probably relate to it (regardless if you are in a relationship or not, or if you are with a service man or not). This book is for all the brave women out there who have stood up for their men, who have stayed loyal to them despite the hardships and who have loved them tirelessly. Chanel Cleeton have never disappointed me, ever! I can’t wait for more from this novel, especially with those amazing secondary characters she introduced us in this novel with promising storylines.

“The second I saw her, my plans for the evening became whatever put me in her orbit. I didn’t know where this was headed, but right now I was happy to follow her anywhere.” “This guy should come with a warning label. Caution: Kisses will make you forget your own name. Proceed at your own risk.” “I was thirty years old. I’d spent most of my teen years and adult life looking for love while simultaneously guarding my heart, calculating risks, approaching love like it was something I could ensure. And here it was. Bigger than me, than my fears, than anything. There was no guarding against it. No insurance I could take out that would protect me. This was skydiving, free fall, jumping off the cliff with no idea if there was rocks below or how deep the water was. And whatever questions I might have had, the fear that I’d go splat at the bottom, were carried away with the wind.” To say that I loved this book would be a complete understatement. If I could give it a million stars, I totally would. This book has blown me away. It has totally exceeded my expectations. It is easily one of my top reads of this year. When I first heard about Fly With Me, I could not wait to get my hands on it and let me tell you, I was not disappointed. From the moment I picked up this book, I was hooked. I mean hooked. I fell in love with the characters instantly. The chemistry between Noah and Jordan was intense right off the bat. You just knew that these two together was going to be something amazing. Their banter was excellent and I just loved watching the two of them together. They just made me laugh and the love between the two of them just felt effortless. Yes, their relationship was not without its ups and downs. Being with a military man, no matter how long, would be hard for anyone. But, I really appreciated the strength and determination these two had. They knew what they both wanted and were going to do whatever it took to make it work. Fly With Me is told from dual points of view and is extremely well written. The story-line captivates you from the very first page and before you know it, you find yourself totally lost and consumed by Jordan and Noah’s story. And what an amazing story to get lost in. Fly With Me totally exceeded my expectations; taking me on a journey I will never forget. This story made me laugh; boy did it make me laugh. It made me swoon. It pulled at my heart and even broke it a few times. It made me cry. But, most of all, it made me fall in love. This book reminded me of just how important and precious life is and that when you do find the one that you love, you don’t take it for granted. I just loved everything about this story; from start to finish. I mean, it has it all. From a great story-line to amazing characters. To real friendships and a love that lasts a lifetime. I think that the Wild Aces series is off to one amazing start. Chanel Cleeton has really outdone herself this time and I gotta tell you, I can not wait to see where the rest of this series will go. If you’re looking for a book that is well-written and has a lot of heart, then I definitely recommend checking this book out!

FLY WITH ME is the first installment in Chanel Cleeton’s contemporary, adult WILD ACES military, erotic romance series focusing a group of U.S. Air Force fighter pilots known as the Wild Aces. This is fighter pilot Noah ‘Burn’ Miller, and dress boutique owner Jordan Callahan’s story line. Told from dual first person points of view (Noah and Jordan) FLY WITH ME is an emotional story line that looks at love and relationships in the U.S. military- the emotional toll, anguish and heartache of being a military spouse and mate. During a weekend in Vegas to celebrate her sister’s bachelorette party Jordan Callahan will come face to face with her future-Noah Miller- a member of the elite Air Force fighter pilots, and a man who could potentially break her heart. Both Jordan and Noah are ready to settle down but Noah’s life in the military is anything but conducive to a permanent relationship. Following a whirlwind couple of days in Sin City, Noah and Jordan agree to try a long-distance relationship, one that finds our couple growing closer as the days and weeks pass by. What ensues is the back and forth, long distance anxiety between two people whose lives are about to be destroyed by an unforeseen accident. Jordan is an amazing and confident heroine: she is strong, sexy, and knows what she wants. Noah is a man who sees life passing him by, but a man who is first and foremost married to his job. The attraction between Noah and Jordan is immediate; their sexual chemistry is passionate, intense and emotional. The $ex scenes are seductive, tender and hot. We are introduced to several secondary and supporting characters including a number of Noah’s fellow fly boys: Thor, Easy, Commander Michael ‘Joker’ Peterson and his wife Dani, as well as Jordan’s boutique co-owner Sophia, and Jordan’s sister Meg. Thor’s story will be told next in INTO THE BLUE. Chanel Cleeton’s FLY WITH ME is a fascinating, emotional and captivating start to her WILD ACES series. The premise is memorable and inspiring; the characters are real, colorful and vibrant; the romance is provocative and intense. There are moments of heartbreak and pain; laughter and fun; falling in love and letting go. Do yourself a favor and pick up a copy of FLY WITH ME-sit back with a box of tissues-and enjoy !!!

I do not have words to describe how amazing this book is! It was the first book that I read this year that made me ugly cry, like seriously, crying in my bed not able to stop, also not able to stop reading and wanting to know more about the characters. I have to say this is not a sad book, I cried because things in life happen sometimes and they suck and Chanel did a great job in writing these kinds of things into her book, she made me care about the characters a lot more, she also made me think about the people who choose to fly jets as a profession and the women who love them. Noah and Jordan meet in Las Vegas, she is there celebrating her little sister’s bachelorette party and Noah is there because of work, since the moment they lay eyes on each other the sparks fly, the chemistry is undeniable and all the sexy energy surrounding them becomes intoxicating. After the weekend is over they decide that they want to try to date, long distance be damned. It was fun/hard for them as the relationship progressed, it obvious that they are perfect for each other but they both have responsibilities that aren’t easy to just forget and leave behind. The book is incredibly heartfelt, I really ended up caring for these fighter pilots and I can’t wait for Thor and Easy to have a book out in the world. Specially Easy 
