Overview

Meet Charlotte Marx a 15 year-old socially fuzzy freshman in high school. Her comfort zone lies somewhere between being peacefully vague and all together avoidant of others. Every day to her can sometimes be offensive and too demanding of exaggerated responses. Her photographic creativity is like a decoy, a way of interacting minus a voice.

Adding to her individuality is her serene, enticing beauty that instinctively attracts attention. Her reaction to the unwanted advance brands her as a teen with social deficiencies and she’s given no choice other than to attend behavioral group to mend her ways. Considering this unjustified she works secretly with her neighbor Marty, to come up with a solution to all of it. Together they create a plan hoping to benefit from it, cash in on the lesson and use it to their advantage.

Charlotte trains herself on how to work through and around several problems. Concentrating on controlling new directions in her life she strives to redeem her honor. She receives inspirational support from a strange ally named Hudson. He aids her with sensible gestures and lighthearted emotional insight. His charm frustrates her with mind provoking exercises focusing on relationship building and facing mistakes from their past. Utilizing a little common sense and consenting to the added windfall of affection from two young men; one a fast character named Shane and the other Hudson, challenges her all the more. Hudson’s been more of a friend and suppresses the temptation of an affectionate relationship. It’s not that he doesn’t want to it’s just that he has a secret he can’t share with Charlotte quite yet.

Throughout the process she cultivates the talent of socializing, secures a few good friends along the way and masters the art of listening. It’s all done with a unique sense of humor that Marty and her exhibit throughout the state of affairs that they find themselves in. Together they foster new personalities and the right of passage to the next level of their young adulthood. A journey once driven by deceit helps to make Charlotte aware that she’s only been deceiving herself. With new found wisdom and love she brings it all together using art, unique insight and sweet humor.
