    Master Class

A wonderful recording of the glorious revival, this is the definitive cast version of the legendary musical. Top notch prformances from everyone especilly the ladies. Bernadette Petters with the most difficult part, shines giving her role a depht that is awesome. Maybe her voice is in parts harsh but that is the point as Sally is a character on the verge of collapsing any minute. Her Losing My Mind is perfection, mixing the gorgeous song with first class acting. Jan Maxwell is terrific as Phyllis, a tremendous force of nature, wounded but ready to fight again at middle age for what she was. And legend Elaine Paige stops the show with her I Am Still Here. The men are great and the wohle cast pure perfection. Adding dialogue increases the experience. If you are not lucky to have seen the show on Broadway, this is th next best thing. A must.
