Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature
AGERANGE: Ages 4 to 6.

The Backyardigans have been charged by King Pablo to watch over a speckled egg. The king has asked his faithful knights to keep a close eye while he shops for a new crown. Not much of a task for brave, bold knights, but this egg seems to have a mind of its own as it rolls away from Uniqua and Tyron and heads for Dragon Mountain. Who knows what they will encounter there as they chase after the egg which has suddenly developed legs. Suddenly they encounter the Grabbing Goblin, but their quick wits save the day. The egg is hatching, and now it has developed wings. The ending may or may not be a surprise, but this rebus reader (Level 1) will be fun for kids who enjoy the show on Nickelodeon.
