Overview

Its 2005 Los Angeles and Shelly will marry Alan in a couple of weeks. Her best friend Laura believes she’s marrying for money.

Shelly finds a lost time machine movie prop from an old 1947 movie. She gets curious and sits inside and unintentionally activates it. She time travels back to 1947 and gets stuck there.

Her attempts to return fail, as the prop is taken away. She must now blend in until the prop returns, but a big problem develops. Her 2005 money runs out and she faces her worst fear - living on the streets.

She lands a job as a typist for a printing shop and the owner; Andrew takes an immediate liking to her. But it’s not a happy atmosphere as the Office Manager Amanda constantly harassing her. Why? Because Amanda wants Andrew and Shelly’s a threat.

Hiding out in 1947 is working, until her 2005 money is believed to be counterfeit. This forces her to abandon her hotel room. She runs to Andrew for help who reluctantly lets her stay with him.

Shelly receives her first pay, which isn’t much and asks Andrew for more money. Andrew gets her a babysitting job, which infuriates her. Shelly’s no longer furious, when she realizes it’s her 6-year-old mother she’s babysitting. The mother she doesn’t remember.

Shelly now thinks of Andrew in a different light. As they spend more time together, they fall deeply in love. She soul searches and realizes Laura was right, she was only marrying Alan because he was rich. Andrew’s her true love, not Alan.

Happy and adjusting to 1947, Shelly considers staying but that becomes threatened when a crooked Detective – Amanda’s boyfriend - stalks and helps frame her as a Counterfeiter. As the Detective is about to arrest Shelly, she learns that Amanda’s the counterfeiter and she’s being framed.

On the run from the Detective, Shelly talks Andrew into going back to the future with her. Andrew agrees.

Andrew and Shelly chase down a truck, that has the time machine, with the Detective and the police hot on their tail. Shelly’s able to get to the time machine – barely – leaving Andrew behind.

Shelly returns to 2005 lonely and depressed. She soon learns the fate that followed: her love Andrew died a lonely, broken hearted old drunk over missing Shelly and Amanda was arrested for counterfeiting and Shelly was cleared.

A heart to heart talk with Laura has Shelly realizing the direction her life must go. Shelly finds her way back to 1947 and rights the destiny of herself and Andrew, her soul mate.
