Overview

Over 7 million copies of the original book have been sold worldwide and with growing health problems, an aging population, and the rising cost of healthcare, it's more important than ever to know how to avoid and treat problems through the foods we eat. Totally revised and updated with the latest scientific findings and time-honored natural remedies, FOODS THAT HARM, FOODS THAT HEAL-now with a redesigned cover-offers important information about the role diet plays in the struggle against heart disease, cancer, diabetes, and other serious illnesses, as well as the impact pf food on stress, insomnia, and other common complaints.

Presented are 92 ailment entries that address each condition's symptoms and causes and connects the ailment to foods that help or harm. There are 142 food entries from apples to zucchini, including fast food, additives, and more-you can look up any food and find out its benefits, what it may heal, or how it may harm.

The first edition changed the way we view food and its impact on our bodies, highlighting the benefits of food. Food alone is the only source that delivers the nutrients we need to stay healthy; no supplement, vitamin, mineral, or herb can replace this critical necessity of life.

"...a guide to disorders, diseases, and foods...lists the pros and cons of certain foods and offers nutritional advice that can help alleviate some disorders and aid in healing."

Well researched but nothing really new

I was using it to find foods to treat specific challenges I am having. I would say it was informative but not as "deep" as I would have liked.

    Th Best Book

Recently, I went to Barnes and Nobles and found the book called "Food That Harm Foods that heal. It was one of the best books I have learned from. They have pretty much anyfood in there, you can look the food up and it will tell you what the good things about it and the not so good things. Also if you have health problems for example... if you had arthritis it would tell you the things you should eat and so on. I would recommend this book to anybody!

    It's a fantastic book!!!!

This is one of the best books on food that I've read in quite a while. Any health issue you may have or just want to eat healthy, this book can help by letting you know about the good and bad of the foods that you eat. It's worth every penny.
