Overview

Hardnosed-CEO James Taylor years to find the right nurse for his ailing mother, Marie. When his ex-girlfriend Samantha whom he hasn’t spoken to in almost a year fills the position, sparks fly.

Passion builds when James and Samantha live under the same roof. Turmoil boarders desire—the two fuse and feed off each other. For weeks things simmer. James is consumed with wanting to explain to Samantha what she really witnessed the night she saw him kissing another woman. Samantha refused to listen.
Love and passion can’t be denied and it lures them into the bedroom. The physical intimacy not only uncovers buried emotions, but also the love they have for each other. James feels they are rebuilding what they once shared, while Samantha secretly fears that he may hurt her again. Her heart wants him, but her mind won’t let her forget.

Editorial Reviews

Janet Davies
Foolish Notions is about loneliness and hope, misunderstanding and realization and about two people who are just meant to be together despite pride and misconceptions. It is sweet romance with an edge of sexual tension. Of course the two lovers reunite. But that’s what you want to see in a romance. It is an enjoyable book to escape into for a couple of hours.
Amy D
Foolish Notions is a thoughtful, well-written book that I heartily endorse. It is compassionate without being melodramatic and romantic while keeping true to the central theme of the story: recovering that which is, even temporarily, lost.

    A fine tale

In Los Angeles affluent CEO James Taylor wants the best for his mom as she undergoes cancer treatment so he plans to hire a live-in nurse for her. However, Marie has rejected all candidates insisting Samantha is the only for the job. Used to getting his way, the arrogant James says to his mom anyone, but Sam. He loses the debate and his former girlfriend Sam, the only woman to ever dump James, is hired. Sam agrees only because she cares for Marie and once dreamed of being a close daughter-in-law before she caught James kissing another woman.--------------- James realizes he wants Sam back in his life. He bullies her and threatens to rough up her current boyfriend. She knows that she still wants and probably loves James, but does not trust him.------------ Readers will enjoy this solid contemporary romance as James¿ obsessive behavior and Sam¿s reactions ring true though the audience will wonder why she puts up with his tactics. The story line is well written and entertaining as James tries to regain what he lost while Sam tries to avoid him as she misses what he cost them, and an ailing Marie plays matchmaker as she knows they belong together. However, a final revelatory twist seems off kilter based on the traits of the lead couple and all that went before. Still this is overall a fine tale.----------- Harriet Klausner

    Loved this book

Longer story than i am used to but it captured my heart. This writer has amazing potential...some of the sentences and style of her written is very good, better than writing in harlequins. And i love harlequin romances. This one had great twist too. Although i get the feeling the author is big on long beautiful hair...:)

    Just ok

Maybe its me but I thought it starts off too slow to keep me interested . I will probably try other books by this author to see if it was this book I had a problem with . The concept of the book was interesting.
