Bella Rossi may be nearing thirty, but her life is just starting to get interesting. When her Italian-turned-Texan parents hand over the family wedding planning business, Bella is determined not to let them down. She quickly books a "Boot Scoot'n" wedding that would make any Texan proud. There's only one catch--she's a country music numbskull because her family only listens to Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin. Where will she find a DJ on such short notice who knows his Alan Jackson from his Keith Urban?

When a misunderstanding leads her to the DJ (and man) of her dreams, things start falling into place. But with a family like hers, nothing is guaranteed. Can the perfect Texan wedding survive a pizza-making uncle with mob ties, an aunt who is a lawsuit waiting to happen, and a massive delivery of 80 cowboy boots? And will Bella ever get to plan her own wedding?

Book one in the Weddings by Bella series, Fools Rush In is fun, fresh, and full of surprises. Readers will love the flavorful combination of Italian and Tex-Mex, and the hilarity that ensues when cultures clash.

Bella Rossi is determined to make her parents' wedding-planning business a success, but her first booking requires a country-and-western theme. Unfortunately, Bella's Italian parents have kept her knee-deep in Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin, totally out of touch with the realm of Johnny Cash. She sets out to find a DJ who can handle the job—and finds the perfect man for the wedding and possibly for her. VERDICT Bella's quirky, crazy family life adds humor to this modern love story. A light but satisfying series debut that will appeal to fans of Kristin Billerbeck.\

Bella Rossi, a 29-year-old Italian, transplanted to Texas, meets a handsome cowboy in a hilarious moment of mistaken-identity. What ensues is comedic and romantic. How can Bella run her family's wedding planning service when she has no idea about themed weddings? Especially a country one? When Italian meets Texan, sparks fly, hilarity ensues, and the reader is left with a stitch in their side. Thank God for friends and chivalrous cowboys! Janice Thompson does not fail to deliver a boot-stomping good time with FOOLS RUSH IN! A thoroughly enjoyable read.

It was free so no complaint on the cost! I truly liked the start of the story BUT about midway the story was lost and so was I! The storyline became very diluted by christian frivolous pushing! Not against religion in the least but the synopsis said NOTHING about it being of that genre. I could not finish it, and I CARED nothing for the characters by the middle of the book! I would not recommend this book!

I really loved this book! The story was really good and kept me entertained! I also loved the message and could kind of relate to the main character Bella! This was a really sweet love story that is fun and quick to read! Love how janice brings in scripture and italian sayings! I would definitey recommed this book if your looking for a fun christian fiction love story filled with hope, faith, and the love of Christ!

Coming from the north east with an italian family it was great to read the phrases my nonna used to speak. I loved the romance and the hints of God's hand in every aspect of your life. Whether praying for your life, love, finances, lost souls or even a crazy bird, it takes you on a fun, romantucally clean and funny journey about trusting God in ALL things.

Even though I liked this book, I would not read it again. I agree with the other reviewers, it had too much religion in it. I felt like it WAS preachy at times and I don't like that. I respect ALL religions equally but I don't like the fact that nowhere does it warn us about it. I probably would have passed on this book as well if I would have known about it. On another note, I don't think the story was developed well enough. If it was supposed to be a romantic story/novel I feel like the relationship between the two main characters was not developed enough. It seemed to me like they met, barely spent time together, and Boom! they're in love. I would not really recommend this book.

This is a very cute book. Doesnt really take much thought. Very easy read. I purchased the second one and am almost finished. It does get a little preachy, but if you dont mind that, then you will enjoy this.

I have to say that this book was very long winded. A lot of needless information about her family that has nothing to do with the story. It was like Bella's family and Jenna friend was the main story and her romance with Dwayne is a side story. I know this book is free and becouse of that I'm not that upset about how unfulling it turned out to be. I hope this help any who would like to read this. I would say its a good clean book for any one who is young(pre teens or teens) who wants to try out reading romance novels.

This book was sooo good ad it had no sex or people speaking of sex so it was really appropriate. I love this series!

It is quick, funny read but the plot is rather weak. It did make me smile several times, but didn't seem to have an ending. When I got to the end, I turned the page thinking there had to be more.

Slow story. Very religous to a fault.

Truely funny romance

The love story between the main couple felt a bit rushed. Also, the author spend a lot of time dwelling on things irrelevant to the plot of the story, for example, bella would have random thoughts or reflect on the past for a couple of paragraphs when the information had nothing to do with the story and quite frankly these paragraph made the story a boring and mundane.

Cute story. Could have left out the praying & it would have been better. Deleted it after reading as it was not a keeper.

Loved reading this book. Interesting characters and enjoyed all the local landmarks. Finished it on a rainy, lazy day and it was perfect.

First of all, I don't mind a little religion thrown into my reading material, but this was a little overboard. And for the record, when speaking of the Lord, you should always capitalize Him when referencing Him. The book was okay. I'm happy it was free, but I won't be reading any more of this author's work. I found typos that consisted of random numbers tossed into the mix.  There was a lot of stuff that didn't need to be put in, and I think it was added just for a filler, as the book is not quite 300 pages. Entire scenes had nothing to do with the storyline and could have been excluded. I feel the story climaxed LOOOOOOOOOOOOOONGGGGGGG before the typing of that phrase "the end."  I don't believe I could recommend this story.

I really liked the families in this book and at first liked this story. I felt like there was way too much references to religion. I think that the description to this book was misleading and if I would have known how much god talk was in this book I would not have bought it.

cute. well written. free on BN. two major flaws. first, there's the overwhelming preachiness that one might expect from a christian author that if i had known about i might have passed. second, the plot of romance novels, even ones that jump straight from hand-holding to the wedding is tried and true. girl meets boy. girl doesn't see boy's potential. girl falls for boy despite seemingly insurmountable obstacles. girl and boy get into fight over some silly misunderstanding and part ways. girl and boy bump into each other, realize they can't live without each other, and live happily ever after. this one skips all that. other than neurotic musings about 'well he probably hates me now that he's seen me in a pony tail" the only real non-situational drama is when he leaves his cellphone at home when he goes to work and can't call her. the family is funny and functional and sappy. the closest it gets to conflict is when the ex-boyfriend sees her kissing the new boyfriend - and then it jumps to the next day without even getting a reaction. maybe it's just watered down to appeal to christian teenagers but ... yawn.
