    Best Current Beale Street Act

I went to college in Memphis and Richard Johnston was the most captivating blues artist that I saw on Beale Street. He has an amazing talent for playing multiple instruments at once without taking anything away from the quality of the music. On Foot Hill Stomp, Mr. Johnston does justice to a number of mississippi hill country blues classics, while also producing original songs that highlight his talent as an artist and his reverance to the blues genre. The final product is a show stopping performance of raw sweaty juke-joint blues. Along with the artists of Fat Possum Records, Richard Johnston is producing blues music for the 21st century and beyond.

    AMAZING musician and CD!!!!!

I bought this CD on Beale St. in Memphis while watching Richard play. He is incredible and his CD makes you move whether you want to or not. Every track just gets you going and it puts you in the best mood. Can't wait for the next CD. Richard is amazing with all the instruments he plays at once. Don't miss out on this one!!
