The story Football Hero is about a kid named Ty who is thirteen and goes to a middle school where nobody likes him and he is alone all the time. Then matters get worse when his parents die in a car crash and he is forced to live with his no good uncle and aunt. Then one day the Football coach asks him to join the team, but his uncle wants him to work at an early age after school every day and gets him a permit. Ty¿s world is a crazy concoction of people wanting him to do this and that. Which way will he go? In this novel the author is trying to tell people in general that you shouldn¿t let anything set you back from what you want to achieve, and Tim Green does a really good job of doing that.Ty is living in New York after his parents die in a car crash. His brother Thane is an NFL first round prospect and Ty is forced to live with his Uncle and Aunt who live in a five room trailer and treat him horribly. His uncle is drunk half of the time and his aunt is always screaming at the top of her lungs. Ty is what you might call a loner and doesn¿t have many friends. But he is known for one thing¿ his unbelievable speed. Because of that the football coach asks him to join the team. His uncle disapproves this because he is all about work and gets Ty a working permit which prevents him from joining the team. But that doesn¿t stop Ty. With as many obstacles that Ty had to go through to get what he wanted you would think that no kid should have to go through that much. Most people take opportunities for granted, but this book will turn that around.Ty is living in New York after his parents die in a car crash. If you¿re looking for something to read to just keep you occupied then you should get this book. Ty¿s life and the way he is treated by others is something that no kid should go through, but he finds his way out of it with the love of his sport, football.I would give this book 3.5 out of 5 stars. There is plenty of action, but the book sometimes builds up all this steam that keeps you reading on and then in an instant it¿s all gone. Other than that the book is a constant thrill. I would recommend this book for teen boys who are interested in sports novels.
