    To TC: Story Contest Entry

It was an average day, and it felt way to much like every day, considering the fact that it was Halloween. Kara Jackson and Marilyn Jones were conducting a tour of the downtown clothing factory. The tour was to the Monkey Medallion Elementary School kids, mainly the fifth graders, and they were unimpressed. Out of nowhere, a fiery red, orange, and yellow burst into the path of the tour. "Hurry, run! Now!" Marilyn pushed the kids towards the entrance, and Kara screamed at the kids to run. The young women grabbed their coats and started running, but not before the loud explosion. Arms of fire reached out and grabbed Kara, locking its grip tighter every second, and finally, grabbed her soul. --- A very teary Marilyn gathered outside with the kids, explaining the situation. She broke down and fell onto the ground, sobbing for her best friend. The kids tried their best to comfort her, patting her back and speaking reassuringly. As a gift for saving them and for sacrificing Kara for them, they gave Marilyn a monkey medallion- trademark of their school. --- Marilyn was telling the Jackson family about their incident when everyone broke down again. Everyone said how much they wanted Kara back. Unbeknownst to them, the medallion started glowing. --- That night, their was a big gust of wind before the knock came on the Jackson household's door. When Mrs. Jackson opened it, she was surprised to see a zombie-ghost version of her daughter. --- From then on, Kara Jackson has haunted the old Jackson house. And that's how it went. -KNH
