Chapter One

Yet we should not ignore our dreams. God will sometimes use our dreams to assure us of his promises or to tell us something about himself. And when God does speak to us in dreams, he will also help us understand them ...

[God] said, "Listen to my words: "When a prophet of the Lord is among you, I reveal myself to him in visions, I speak to him in dreams." -Numbers 12:6

I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions. -Joel 2:28

* * *

Jesus left his disciples with a great promise that is true for us today: "Surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age" (Matthew 28:20).

God's presence with us is a reality. Acts 2:17 also tells us that God will pour his "Spirit on all people." As we dream our dreams with the knowledge that God is with us, we will begin to see things as Christ does and dream dreams inspired by the Holy Spirit that are worth re-telling and following.

God Is With Us ... In Our Daily Walk

I was walking along the beach with my Lord.

A close walk with the Lord is an important part of a believer's life ...

He will teach us his ways, so that we may walk in his paths. -Isaiah 2:3

I walk in the way of righteousness, along the paths of justice. -Proverbs 8:20

May he turn our hearts to him, to walk in all his ways and to keep the commands, decrees and regulations he gave our fathers. -1 Kings 8:58

Your love is ever before me, and I walk continually in your truth. -Psalm 26:3

Walk in the way of understanding. -Proverbs 9:6

He whose walk is upright fears the Lord. -Proverbs 14:2

The ways of the Lord are right; the righteous walk in them. -Hosea 14:9

He whose walk is blameless is kept safe. -Proverbs 28:18

Let us walk in the light of the Lord. -Isaiah 2:5

Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, "This is the way; walk in it." -Isaiah 30:21

* * *

The Bible tells us that maintaining a close walk with God is a command we must obey, not merely a suggestion we may want to consider.

I am God Almighty; walk before me and be blameless. -Genesis 17:1

What does the Lord your God ask of you but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all his ways, to love him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul. -Deuteronomy 10:12

Love the Lord your God ... walk in all his ways ... hold fast to him. -Deuteronomy 11:22

The Lord will establish you ... if you keep the commands of the Lord your God and walk in his ways. -Deuteronomy 28:9

    I have no problem recommending this book. It's so uplifting

    I have been an admirer and lover of "FootsPrints for over 30 years. I have a nearly complete of various styles of writngs. Footsprints mean so much to me at this time of my life. I just lost my husband of 28 years and reading them along with journaling has given me strength for each day. Most of my extended family who helped me care for my husband when he was home, have been sending them weekly.
