Footprints Of a Nomad
In this collection of poetry, the author invites you, the reader, into a world where emotion, memory, and imagination come into play.
Here, one will find fleeting moments of wonder, heartache, and philosophical wandering, both intimate and universal.
Listening closely, one will see reflected the path of the traveler in all of us, the part that is always seeking, looking, and learning.
Perhaps it is simply a quest for meaning and understanding in a world gone mad yet exquisitely beautiful and joy-filled.

About the Author

I would say I entered this world in rather humble conditions being born in our farmhouse in my parents’ bedroom, attending a one-room elementary school with no plumbing or heat except a coal stove in the middle of the room, the joyful memory of outhouses and finally watercress from a spring in the woods which was actually quite tasty in buttered bread.
Eventually, a university granted me a BA in English Language and Literature, which I taught for a few years in the USA and as a volunteer for another three years in Nigeria during their civil war. After returning to the USA, I soon entered graduate school. For the next 50 years, I practiced as a psychotherapist, finally retiring from my practice after three years in Afghanistan, being available to US service members, NATO, and Afghans.
Now when not writing, painting or playing my sax, I can likely be found sitting quietly on the shores of Lago Nahuel Huapi in Bariloche, Patagonia, Argentina, listening to the sounds of waves crashing against the rocks, sipping Argentina’s national drink, Yerba Mate, hiking through the Andes mountains with Silvia, my beloved, in absolute awe of such indescribable beauty. Always I am humbled.
