At a time when many of our soldiers are returning home from the war in Iraq, this book takes us back to yesteryear... WWII, and it really stirs the heart with the story of sacrifice and love. If you enjoy reading books that not only entertain but also tug at the heart strings, take the time to read this book! You'll be glad you did!

This book is a wonderful and touching tale of love during World War II. This has to be Mrs. Roberts' most heart-wrenching yet uplifting romance to date!!! If you've ever experienced any type of reuniting with a loved one after being separated for any length of time for any reason, then you'll be able to associate with Preston's parents and how they feel when he returns home from the war. There are many very good, touching, inspirational parts but my favorite is the part when Emily's husband, who is presumed dead, writes home. I can't tell what happens for it will spoil the surprise but hold on to a box of tissues! You are in for a wonderful ride of life, love, and a wedding!
