Oh, I absolutely loved this book! I got it a few years ago, and I have read it hundreds of times. I really felt April's pain as she went through the torture of being in love with another man so soon after her first true love's death. I was truely touched by this story and have enjoyed the rest of Lurlene McDaniel's books.

The book For Better, For Worse, Forever by Lurlene McDaniel is about a YOUNG woman named April that moved from New York to St. Croix because she wanted to get the stress of her fiancé dieing in a car accident off her mind, and she wanted to be able to move on with her life. When she moved to St. Croix she met a friend named Brandon, and he asked if she would stop by his job one day when she¿s lonely and they could go out to eat on his lunch break. She really didn¿t want to be around Brandon because she felt bad because she loved Mark so much, and she thought it would hurt him even though he wasn¿t alive. So one day her father rented her a car for a couple of days, and as she was riding she saw the name of Brandon¿s job and she decided to stop. When Brandon started to take April out she felt bad, and she didn¿t really want to show her feelings towards him. She started to like Brandon just as much as he liked her. Then one lonely day April went for a swim an her mom came out to talk to her, and her mom started to explain how Mark would want April to move on wit her life and live a normal life as it was before. So April listened to her mother and stopped being so rude and acting as if she didn¿t really like Brandon. Another day April was downtown looking for her best friend, Kelli birthday gift and as she was walking someone was screaming her name, and she turned around and it was Brandon. They went out for ice cream and chatted a little and from there they both went shopping together. One day Brandon came out and told her about his mom and how she had died because of too much stress over his father and she killed herself. So April was shocked and felt bad so she started telling him how she had a fiancé but he died in a car accident and that¿s why she moved to St. Croix. And one day when Brandon took her to the beach by his job as they ate April passed out so he took her home, and the very next day she had to go back to New York to see her doctor because her parent think she passed out because her tumor was bothering her. When she gets to New York she thought about how Brandon was going to feel because she was in New York and she was suppose to be spending the whole summer break with him, and she didn¿t know when she was going to be coming back. I think people should read this book because it¿s real life and it¿s just wonderful. The book is an excellent ¿page- tuner¿ because once you start to read it you wouldn¿t want to put it down. The book makes you think about what would you do if you got caught up in this type of confusion, how would you feel, and would you or would you not take in actions.

This was the best book I have ever read. I have all her books and have enjoyed all of them , but this one and the companion to it (Til Death Do Us Part)have held a special place in my heart. Not only is it touching but like all her books, it is so well written that you feel like you are actually there and that you know the characters personally. You get so involved so involved in the story that you feel all the emotions! Its so wonderful.. YOU GOTTA READ IT!!

When I frist read the story of April Lancaster and Mark Gianni, I was deeply touched. Then when Mark died I was heart broken. In the companion to "Till Death Do Us Part" April meets Brandon and starts to fall in love with him. I was excited for the two of them, because they could relate on so many levels to each other, kind of like April and Mark. When April's tumor started growing again I knew it was the end of her story. This left me crying. I have never been so touched by a book that she has written. Don't get me wrong, Lurlene McDaniel is a wonderful writer who has written many good books, but this book by far has to be her best EVER!!!!

April's story really touched my heart! Against her better judgement she fell in love with Mark and is now falling in love again, but she didn't tell Brandon about her own illness, and when she gets sick again, well you better read this book!
